Pretty sure yours is the ONLY video on RUclips (other than Harmen Hoek's) showcasing what it looks like to actually hike across the Wadi Rum desert. Everybody else's videos just bang on about the bubble hotels and camel rides... Definitely subscribing for more of your adventures while I continue to plan my Wadi Rum solo hike for October 2023... Pretty sure the stonemason (by trade) in me would spend an hour or two happily reconstructing that wall at 4:55 - A local would come past there a week later and find a wall that's a foot higher than the last time he saw it - Do you have a GPS coordinate of your trek so I can go find it and repair it..haha?

I ran into the same problem! As far as I could find, I was the only the 2nd person and first american ever to solo-backpack across this desert and record it in blog/video form. I don't have the exact coordinates for that spot, but it is a spot frequented by the jeep tours often, so I'm sure you'd get a few curious looks from the locals. Good luck on your adventure!

We spent a week in Jordan and we went to visit a lot of famous places but for me this area was the most amazing part of the trip

This is so cool OMGGGGGGG. I'm astounded by the natural beauty of what you saw as well as your talent in putting together this video. And the history lesson was fascinating too. Also, I find myself wanting to send Habib some money for the water. It's nice to hear how friendly the locals were. Bravo on a great trip and sparkling creative masterpiece.

His how do you record your shots? Do you carry a tripod?

Yup. It's tough out there being a one man film crew.

@@MapsWithNoRoads wow. Do you use a light tripod or a standard one?

@@MoveWithShashi I use the Peak Design carbon fiber tripod. It is pricey, but decently light, and sets up very quickly.
