- We took a road trip to San Diego and thrifted some outfits to go to the girlie bar while we were there! It's not Empty Suitcase because we don't own the rights to that!!

@@mars7143 yeaaaah beyond that just being a very ahistorical assumption about the original usage of the term, it's definitely in my lived experience with regards to it being used against me pejoratively. Shouted at me from moving cars, by people in high school, in my hometown, etc. I have no personal qualms about reclaiming this term! --Kristin

Yess. This is going in my lexicon. My style started hyper femme and has been a slow slide into masc territory and I... I just can't imagine going back..... (for one, makeup??? 1. takes time, 2. annoying when you sweat or cry, 3. expensive af, Bras??? no. Dresses? my ass is out and i don't like it)

It wasn’t until some updates on this channel that I realized how much Kristin hated doing empty suitcase videos but I LOVE seeing Brie exploring styles and having fun, and I think it might help Kristin not feeling like the only one trying stuff on or being restricted to filling a suitcase for multiple looks vs picking an outfit for a specific outing 🥺❤️
Same! I love a Kitchen in Shopping Spree mode! I was sad to learn that they were under such horrible stress when they used to shoot it.
I think I liked the Empty Suitcase Show because I too am plus size and that's a huge fear. So I found it comforting that it is possible to find comfortable stuff for plus size ladies around the world. I think my favorite episode will always be Hawaii
hearing about how terrible of a time Kristin had while filming the original empty suitcase broke my heart. Seeing them so happy for this re-boot is so so exciting!! I hope all of y’all do more of these episodes!!!

My favourite thing is that whenever you go shopping for clothes, Jen turns into a supportive boyfriend XD The instinctive urge they have to just carry all the thing is so delightful and cute.
I really missed this type of show! I'd love to see more of it with Brie! Kristin has such good fashion advice for her and it's so cute to see her learning all those little tricks, and helpful for a lot of us!

The way y'all make gender exploration so fun and accessible makes me want to cry with happiness. Doubly so as you're doing it *now*, in your 30s, because like so many of us (my mid-30s trans nb butt included!) we really never got to HAVE this kind of thing in our lives as kids, not the way cis kids do. I like the most economical and logical use of things you already have, as opposed to Empty Suitcase where you bought the extras new. I think it could be cute to also do an accessories haul of all of what you brought with you and why you chose it for a specific outfit as you’re getting ready. Only if you’re comfortable with that of course!

The empty suitcase show was probably my all time favorite series. I loved seeing a little glimpse of the past mixed up with the present! Also glad Brie is making more of an appearance in the shows. You all are lovely people!!

I was in San Diego with friends at the end of April and we stayed in Hillcrest (the neighborhood where Gossip Grill is) and LOVED it. The area is so fun, and I felt so safe and accepted. It makes me happy that you guys visited San Diego and brought attention to a really great area 😊
