My dad passed on Easter Sunday . And really the only thing I have of his is a bottle of his cologne. I’m a lot older than this kid but that bottle of Cologne means the world to me .

i am 18 and i had a few family passed away due to wars, drug addiction,alcohol addiction,t boned crashed by a challenger, died of age, saving a family of 6 and 1 suddenly unexpectedly died during his sleep my aunts husband..she was so sad and all she had left was his drawers, clothes, and the dog they had for 23 years which is a chihuahua but....
it passed away 2 years ago she became sad about the dogs passing and last christmas my cousin had a baby chihuahua and brought her to tears and she spoken how much she misses her dog and remembers the best times she had with the dog growing up and luaghed with it.
her deepest favourite moment is she said to the "dog your becoming old like me, you have 2 teeth left now I have to grind up your food for you now". but in spanish because our family is all mexican.
Bless you, both my parents passed on when I was 3 and for that I had to live with a family who only wanted me to supress some depression which didnt work out. So now they have told me that i´ve ruined whats left of their lifes but Ive never asked anything from them.

Dad passed away when I was 7, only when I turned 18 my ma told me about some money he’s left me that got me a decent second-hand car that made my life much easier, at that moment I realized how he was actually still supporting me, and taking care of me even though he’s left this world long years before, God rest your soul father.

i lost my dad in 2018 february 14th to a heart attack. he was 50 and i was 24. The christmas before i gave him a silver crucifix necklace and now im wearing it. its still hard sometimes especially when i recently became a father that he didnt get to see that..
As a navy vet I couldnt be more proud of that entire family.

The "fallen soldier" was HIS dad! That small act of creation left a legacy so much bigger than the little car. It sits in the driver's seat and sheds tears of sadness and joy for being alive!
My heart is going to fall out and my tears are going to run dry. This one touched me in a different way. Thanks to the mechanic. I'm happy he gets it back.

The military is quite underpaid and overworked for what they do. Some of my buddies sat down and figured out one day that we were making far less than minimum wage which at that time was $7.25/hr for being in a combat zone being shot at, blown up, etc. We felt more like Willie Coyote from the Road Runner Cartoons most days.

Dang I’m 15 as well and I have a dad and I can’t say how blessed I am to have a father God bless this kid and his family... I cried a bit.
I'm sure every time he's in that car, his Dad is right there riding with him.
When the mom said she never saw him come back that hit me because seeing it from her POV looking at the car the dad once owned driving through their driveway

I wish I had a dad remembering him as my hero after he's death. My dad was never loving or sweet to me, I was afraid of him. After he died the only thing I cried for was the repeating question in my mind why he hated me, it's true he hated me deeply. Now I know why he hated me, my mum told me that my dad thought I was not his son. After hearing that I cried for weeks on the moment it crossed my mind. Seeing this kid, I cried be course I missing a good father in my life.
There are tons of guys out there that didn't have great dads. The good news is that you can take all of those negative experiences, do the exact opposite with your kids and heal. You can be the dad and grandpa you deserved as a kid.

Man, I feel your pain. My dad hasn't ever been in my life, he left when I was about 3 years old. We reconnected when I was about 10 or 11 years old, then he left me again, it hurt me so deeply, now I'm 34 and sometimes I see him, we drive the same route to work, he doesn't even beep or acknowledge me, just completely blanks me. I dunno what the f i did to deserve that, it still hurts, he moved on and started another family, he has kids and a wife and everything. I just wanna sit him down one day and ask why?! I was just a kid, what was wrong with me? He has a son from his new wife just a little younger than me. I hate that I still love him despite what he did to me. Maybe there is something wrong with me. Sorry man I know what you're going through, the only thing I wonder now is if I'll be at his funeral. Cos I know if I die before him, he won't attend mine.
@@EXTRA300s Hey man. You're never too old to help kids out. Everyone has a community they live in. There are kids all over with pain and need someone to just listen to them. Being a help to some family might be just what the doctor ordered.

I think in a stuation like this, if you need to confront him you do it. But then you live with the result and do something drastic like move away from the area.
Pain like that isn't from you, it is from his poor decisions. I'd bet you remind him of what a screw up he was and he is running from his own demons.
You can't fix other people, but you can control your actions and how you live your life.
