I wish them both my very best. I married my fiancé in Hawaii 9/15/1970, and six days later I flew back to Vietnam. I convinced my fiancé to pass on the large wedding arguing the costs and complexity of a big wedding. In fact, I was highly skeptical that I would make it home. I wanted her to get the insurance and benefits if I was lost. Well, obviously I made it and we have been married 51 years!

all I can say is that I hope the bride realises how lucky the moment from 4.14 to 4.2, because I never did. I had it with my little brother, who is the clone of my dad. I feel blessed for that.

I've seen way too many marriages in my years in the military as well as my husband's time in the military end in tragedy, stay strong for each other and when it gets difficult remember this day.

I did the same thing Terri. Yes, because we're now literally living in the book of Revelation (aka the end of days) the enemy isn't taking prisoners. He has successfully clouded our children's minds and patriotic passions of decades past. Know this, because of my Love for Jesus Christ, which must come first, I would have loved to have given my soul for the USA any day while first in fatigues, later in BDU's than to have given in up in a car wreck, or the other 100 ways of dying. Die the way you live with honor and respect and dignity, due this because it's the honorable thing to do. Now we must face the fact of lies, deceit, fraud. The enemy no longer hides this, it's all out in plain sight. Finally, be brave enough to die as you lived. Make your family and your God proud. God's speed to your grandson...may the same Angels that protected me, now protect him by God's Grace.

Congratulations!! and yes I really thought his brother was going to show up. As a 26 year Navy Veteran myself, who gave up many special occasions myself I truly understand that duty calls. One thing I never forget though is the sacrifices my wife made while I was gone so now its time to stand by her side. Some people may never be tested on the promises they made at their wedding ("In sickness and in Health") but my wife and I have. Everyday I have to see her in pain after seven back surgeries knowing she's never going to recover and the constant pain she is in I am tested to the limit. I am still here beside her and will be forever!!

I got married my brother was in the service, had a baby, he was still in the service. Baby died, he was still in the service. My prayers were stll with him and all military men and woman, and still to this day. Amen.
