The members of Nā Wai ʻEhā, Kamalei, Kamaehu, Kalanikini and Kahikina are kupa (natives) of the area the group is named for. As such, they were inspired to compose a mele to honor their home. ʻEō E Nā Wai ʻEhā is a song that brings life the different moʻolelo (stories) about each ahupuaʻa within the region collectively known as Nā Wai ʻEhā. Through this mele, the listener can enjoy a journey honoring the four waters that give life to their one hānau (birthplace) - Waikapū, Wailuku, Waiehu and Waiheʻe.
