Another great tutorial! I'd have a question regarding another fnf voice: Pico
I've been trying to make a chromatic for him (I already have atonals, so I know how to sound like Pico) HOWEVER, applying freq.shift. to a chromatic basically removes the "melodic relationship" between the notes (but still sounds like Pico), while trying to use Newtone to tune the freq shifted vowels I made, sounds like s**t...
I was hoping you could give a bit of advice regarding my conundrum...

    • @HighPoweredKeyz

The plugins that I use in this tutorial when I'm in Logic, are Pitch Correction, and Vocal Transformer, but those are native to Logic Pro.
In FL, the equivalents would be Pitcher, and Pitch Shifter.

I have a few questions that I haven't found the answer to myself...
How do you extend the sound of a note? Say, I have an MC chromatic whose notes last around a whole second, but I meant to use a sustained note that lasts a little more than 2 seconds.
What do you do when certain chromatic can't reach the note you want? (Unless I'm missing something, I would guess that I can pitch that one note based on the cents I need to get from that note to another).

    • @HighPoweredKeyz
      @HighPoweredKeyz  8 месяцев назад +1

You can extend the samples/range using Newtone, or other audio editing programs, like Melodyne

If you want to use FL for this method:
      1. Record beeps and boops like bf does.
      2. Put them in fl studio and set the mixer track of the samples to any number of ur choice
      3. select the mixer track of where your sample is and add pitch shifter
      4. Select voice on the right and set the pitch and formant accordingly to the video.

Tuning Frequency Shifted vocals is really tricky, since, like you mentioned earlier, putting the effects on a chromatic will mess with the pitch.
What I'd suggest is this, though it *may* not work.
A while back, on of my mutuals on Twitter did a cover of Blammed, with them singing as Pico, and it was prettt spot on. I asked them how they were able to do the tuned parts of Pico's vocals without messing it up, and they told me that they listened to Kawai Sprite's un-filtered Pico voice, and then matched the pitches with their *own* voice, using NewTone.
So, if you're able to figure out what certain pitches are changed to when they're Frequency Shifted, it *could* be a way to do a tuned Pico chromatic, but again, I'm not 100% sure.

@@HighPoweredKeyz Thank you for your help bro! So, I've spent a couple of evenings on this and unfortunatelly, the method you mentioned didn't fully work, as some vowels end up with a weird "double pitch kinda effect" or still become screams of agony xD
On the bright side I was able to salvage "AA, OO, II, EE" by stretching the vowels that maintained their freq. and so I tuned those, which remained fairly in character I guess.
