    I love difference between french and german: The french Kenobi said "Good day young man!" while the german Kenobi said the slang equivalent of "Jo, what's up?" xD

      I am german. "Hello there" just doesn't have a 1:1 german translation 😅

      @@sigmundfreude4088 "Yo, what's up?" is probably closer than "good day young man", although the important thing is it should be the same as his first line in A New Hope

      @@AlexanderRM1000 In RotS, Obi-Wan says "Hello, whats up" in German, while in ANH he says "Good day, you". I think the episode 3 line fits better here.

      @@AlexanderRM1000 I'm french and indeed there is absolutely no consistency / no possible meme (this line is totally different in french from the one Obi-Wan uses in episode 3 and also totally different from the one in A New Hope)

      @Kenobi I said the prequels not original triology. And everytime anakin speaks it is the same voice as in the prequels

      Yeah we're lucky to have actors for dubbing in Europe. In France we had all the official voices of the prequels for the Clone Wars serie too which really improve the immersion !

      @@viewerfr4751 yes we had the same in german. In my opinion the french and german dubbings are the best any ways. With the original off course

      @@derReviewKaiser In Italy we had the same voice actors as the prequels too. Except for Vader, we had the same Vader voice for OT, PT and Rogue One while having a (younger) sound-alike for animated series and Rise of Skywalker but here he was (terribly) recasted.

      The same for French. Bruno Choël.
      He's also the voice for Johnny Depp, Mark Wahlberg, sometimes Joaquin Phoenix, and Sephiroth.

    00:13 It's a shame because the 3 ''Hello there'' are all translate differently in french. A new hope is 'hello you', revenge of the sith 'hello everyone', and here it's 'hello young man'.

      Same in latin spanish. Episode 3 is 'Hello everyone' and 2022 is 'Hi how are you?'

    So in here was change to: hola qué tal

    It's brazilian PT. In portuguese it would've been said 'Olá jovem' which means 'Hello young man'.

      @@MaxJusth You didn't? How? They're all there on Disney+. There should be no regional limitations, at least not for this show.
      The Japanese version is there, Russian isn't. In fact, I don't think any Disney+ content has ever been published in Russian translation, even before the war and before Disney decided to cancel a Russian release of Disney+.

    It's a shame that the german translation was total BS -.- That stupid "Wie geht's denn so" has NOTHING to do with the iconic "Hello there", which would have been best translated with "Hallo du".

      Wat? In Episode 3 sagt Obi-Wan zu Grievous "Hallo, wie geht's denn so?" und nicht "Hallo du". Der Text passt schon, die Synchro ist nur komisch.

      @@MKC999 Ähm ja, weil die Synchro in Episode III auch schon für'n Eimer war ;) Da wäre eher "Hallo zusammen!" richtig gewesen.
      Das ursprüngliche "Hello there" von Sir Alec Guinness aus Episode IV, als er es zu R2D2 zum ersten Mal sagt, wurde damals richtig übersetzt mit "Guten Tag Du".
      Mag vielleicht kleinlich klingen, aber die Übersetzer hatten wirklich nur EINEN Job, und den haben sie einfach vergeigt.

      guarda che va a riprendere la stessa identica line del doppiaggio di Una nuova speranza,quando Alec Guinness si rivolge a R2,io ho sempre trovato che suonasse benissimo,un ottimo compresso per farla suonare allo stesso modo,cambiando solo una parola,e ha più che senso in italiano,smettiamola di sparare cazzate solo per il gusto di criticare,porco di quel dio

      Ad oggi la migliore traduzione sarebbe stata "Ehi là", purtroppo nei prequel l'avevano tradotta con "Salve a tutti" che non avrebbe avuto senso riproporre qui.
