been listening again to all Grip Inc. albums. Those are real metal gems! The writing, the playing, the production. Everything is perfect! And this Rusty Nail song is just far beyond awesome.
Such a killer band and song and Gus in my opinion is one of the best singers ever and his voice is perfect for these guys! I heard of these guys many years ago after a Slayer,Biohazard and Machine Head concert in Philly! Lombardo always one of my all time favorite drummers and John Bonham!!Total Inspirations for me being a drummer myself and I just did a shit ton of Grip Inc, drum covers last month these guys are one of the best and so fu@#ing brutal!!!R.I.P. Gus!!
Barry St John i am a huge lomabardo fan and loved grip inc but if you really think then 4 albums were better then anything slayer did after 1990??? your blowing smoke out ur Ass buddy.. Seasons was aGreat album GOD HATES US ALL Was ranked up there with Hell awaits and Reign in Blood...REALLY DUDE??? gotta share some of what you smoking my brother???
Absolutely, the Grip albums are so much better than Slayer's output it's not even funny. On absolutely every front, songwriting, innovation, performances, character, attitude, the whole nine yards. God hates us all was even worse than Divine intervention, one good song (Disciple) and that was it.
@@lynns.910 Sorry mate but Slayer took a huge big nose dive after'Seasons in the Abyss'. No other album came even close to that since the 80's. Grip Inc Blew what Slayer did out of the Freakin' water. Sorry mate, but matter of opinion .
@@lynns.910 Again...re what i said earlier. anything that slayer did after 1990 was garbage. you may think differently, but on the whole, the song writing was Terrible. Kerry even had a song about RUGBY.......christ...how lost can you be???? I just did not like them after Seasons. Besides, Paul Bostaph was an amazing Drummer, but not in Dave's league. I just lost interest when Dave left. Again...matter of opinion
Extending on what you said and imo the toms made him famous, even though most people do not realize. Hell Awaits / South Of Heaven that come first in mind, it's the breaks that prevail over any double drum work.
Amazing song - Amazing riffs - Amazing drummer -Amazing singer(rip) Amazing Video clip and guess what .. When I saw them live in Athens Greece they were MORE AMAZING... GRIP INC ...

I remember when this album came it out I listen to it for a whole year. It was everything I wanted in a band. Dave's drumming was so talented from what he did with Slayer. Gus's vocals were so raw. Even the guitars sounded different. This band was just beginning when Gus sadly passed it's amazing to think of what they would have become today if still together. A unique example of talent coming together for something completely different from anything back then and still today.
Dang, I miss those guys! IMO, one of the best bands ever, that played metal as it was meant to be. With one of my all-time favorite drummers; Dave Lombardo. RIP Gus Chambers
I will never forget when this came out. We saw them in San Francisco and hung out with them after the show. Testament was there we listened to new music from their vehicles. Was a Metal night.
I did not appreciate GRIP enough because I compared them to SLAYER. With the passing of time I now appreciate them as true Masters of heavy Metal and amazing artists in their own right.
To listen to this again.... ahhhh. It has bean a while since I last listened to Grip. Brings me back to the good jams. Now I am going to find all I can for Grip Inc. And jam.....
Agreed. They were fantastic. Especially in a time where metal was so mundane, these guy really gave us something exciting to listen to for a change. Great vocals, fantastic drumming, awesome guitar riffs. This stuff just made you stand up and act like a maniac!!
I hated this band when they came out because I expected Slayer. I was driving everyone home on a three hour drive after an Ozzfest show and they were all sleeping. I popped in Solidify a passenger gave me earlier and gave it a good listen with no distractions- just a dark freeway- and loved it. Two days later I went to the store and bought Grip Inc's first 3 CDs.
Loved this band for years and Lombardo is beyond compare but I just noticed this video is so much better than the shakey camera shit we get these days. Just sayin'
Because talent does not correspond with being popular, look at the top charts of music today 😂 it’s all popular but is awful, it sucks because they deserve the fame and money but that’s just the way it is
I was lucky I got to see them on tour with Morbid Angel back in 95. Gus was an absolute beast of a frontman. He def should've been more popular, along with the entire band.
Long time slayer fan because of lombardo and never knew about this band until a few years back. This band is just as metal with a great frontman and ive never seen any kind of promotion for them...RIP GUS
Absofriggin'lutely Absofuckinglutely Mandafuckingtory that crushingly dam good METAL band song music and album!!!!! Greetings guys from Pittsburgh Pa USA
I'm not fully aware of whay you say (polish it's not my language), but indeed, Waldemar Sorychta it's the one behind this awesome band. You are a blessed people for this amazing composer and ... more
R.I.P. Gus Chambers , never forgotten
Legendary band. 4 albums, 4 masterpieces
Grip is one of my favorite bands. Gus, RIP, was an English Punk singer before Grip and as it turns out one of the best metal vocalists of all time.
I 100% agree dude. Gus was a fucking amazing singer. 100x better than ant new band
My favourite thrash metal vocalist. Saw them live in 1997, the best live I have ever seen, they crashed megadeth
Definitly I agree with you, he have unique and only voice tone.
Who'd he sing for before Grip Inc?
Totally agree buddy!!
been listening again to all Grip Inc. albums. Those are real metal gems! The writing, the playing, the production. Everything is perfect! And this Rusty Nail song is just far beyond awesome.
It's been Sevyn years, you better go back and listen again...

Well said. I can relate
Killer tune and Lombardo has always been one of my favorite drummers!!!
I see Tama, I know that the drummer rules!
The 4 alums they produced were far better than anything Slayer did after 1990. Shame that Gus is no longer with us. R.I.P Gus. Amazing vocalist!!

Rip famouloousy brother of megacara metaleiro ....still alive in my world of metal....salud!
Genius!!! Lombardo is amazing. Everybody talks about his double kick. But his Tom works is brilliant!!!!
Extending on what you said and imo the toms made him famous, even though most people do not realize. Hell Awaits / South Of Heaven that come first in mind, it's the breaks that prevail over any double drum work.
Even IF "his tom work" DID get pretty dumbed DOWN by THIS 2nd Grip album forward...(Sorry, just NOT a real big fan of THIS Lombardo era 😒)
Too bad they we don't have more, this is some of the heaviest metal around....Love this band and this song totally ROCKS!!!
Amazing song - Amazing riffs - Amazing drummer -Amazing singer(rip) Amazing Video clip and guess what .. When I saw them live in Athens Greece they were MORE AMAZING...
GRIP INC ...
I envy you, bro

Amazing comment
Saw the Nemesis tour in Belgium! So intense! Awesome band members on stage
As far as metal goes, this is incredible.

That unmistakable Lombardo groove....
Dang, I miss those guys! IMO, one of the best bands ever, that played metal as it was meant to be. With one of my all-time favorite drummers; Dave Lombardo.

One of the most interesting metal bands of the late 90s!

Ein großartiger Sänger einer großartigen Kapelle. Jedes Album hat mich voll abgeholt. Thänxe
That ride cymbal! Unmistakably Dave. Brutal love it just found out about these guys.
What can you say Dave, Gus, and Valdimer. Pure gold!
These guys have the record for hitting the highest highs of metal music.
O que há de melhor no Thrash Metal... Lombardo, o melhor!! Gus Chamber RIP.
This rhytm guitar is so under-rated. One of the best, up there with Master of Puppets.
🤨🧐😕
Singer is brilliant, excellent band
When you look up pure thrash metal perfection in the dictionary- this band should be at the top.
My god what an underrated band they are legends just listen.
Einfach nur geil der Song. Könnte den Stundenlang auf Dauerrotation lassen. Ich glaub ich muss mal wieder in nem Internetradio auflegen -gg-
I hated this band when they came out because I expected Slayer. I was driving everyone home on a three hour drive after an Ozzfest show and they were all sleeping. Weird that the band was not more popular. They’re so good. Great music, amazing vocals and presence
Because talent does not correspond with being popular, look at the top charts of music today 😂 it’s all popular but is awful, it sucks because they deserve the fame and money but that’s just the way it is
And gus died
I was lucky I got to see them on tour with Morbid Angel back in 95. Gus was an absolute beast of a frontman. He def should've been more popular, along with the entire band.

Long time slayer fan because of lombardo and never knew about this band until a few years back. This band is just as metal with a great frontman and ive never seen any kind of promotion for them...RIP GUS
Una de las mejores bandas, espectacular vocal¡
Grip Inc did many things for metal, I believe even bands like tool inspired by grip inc ... but where are they ?
They broke up in 2006, I think because around that time Lombardo came back to Slayer. Not reuniting because the singer died in 2008. Sad
first time I hear this track. (really liked btw)
the tone of the vocals are a blend of Araya and Halford
Its so goddamn catchy
epic riffs
They can slay slayer 😮
Great band
Rest easy Gus..
Enjoyed everything Grip inc did.
