Pattern Review - The Selwyn Top from Cashmerette

In today's video I'm going to review The Selwyn Top from ‪@Cashmerette‬ which is a sleeveless top with shoulder princess seams, pleats and a banded collar. There are two views one with a flounce and one with out, which is the view I made. The Selwyn Top is part of Cashmerette Club House patterns so it's available on their website for $9 (until June 30th using their Base tier ) or you can sign up for the higher tiers which are the Plus and the All Access Membership (which gives you access to all the patterns at any time of the year) which gets you a few more perks depending on the tier you select.

These change (alllll the time) but to give you a reference on my measurements since we are sewing: I am 5’5” and my measurements are as follows, upper bust 44”, full bust 45.5”, waist 39”, hip 46.5”

I am a Cashmerette full access member. Their patterns are easy to follow. I find that if you are precise with seam allowances, pressing etc you get a beautiful garment! The instructions are clear but I am enjoying the sew a longs! So far I have made the Kimball jacket, the Carlyle t-shirt, a few Concord t-shirts, and 2 pairs of Ashwood pants. I also made the Stanton hoodie that’s not a club pattern.

Cashmerette is my favorite pattern company for all the reasons you mentioned: nice classic designs, great size range (2 different blocks depending on how curvy you are), and wonderful customer service. My favorite regular pattern are the Upton dress/skirt and the Concord tee shirt.
My favorite club patterns are the Elmwood pencil skirt and Ashwood pants. The clubhouse is a great supportive feature for help and sharing. Jenny herself often pops in to answer questions and give advice (she helped me with my pants fitting issues!) If you are leery about club membership, you can choose to do the basic level to just get the pattern of the current month, then cancel without hassle. If you do all access annual membership, you get all the patterns back to day one. You also get the monthly seminar about topics like fitting. I just love the brand and the body positivity and style they promote!
