They just keep on hitting us in the feels, huh? Fontaine, the land of sadness.
Glad Freminet is featured in this event- only issue is my heart cannot take how adorable he is. 😭 So cute.
I think that's legit what they were going for in Fontaine, considering how relevant it is to Fontaine's stories that tears contain the strongest emotions of a person. 🤔
(Especially with that very thing being a major moment in the climax of Act V)
They want you to shed tears of joy that Fontaine is saved, tears of anger at Vacher and Dougier, tears of sadness for those who were senselessly harmed or had awful childhoods, and so on.
Mondstadt was about heroism and purity, Liyue was about promises and the effects of time, Inazuma was about reflecting on one's ambitions, Sumeru was about ignorance and growth, and I suppose one can say Fontaine is about processing one's feelings.
Makes me wonder what Natlan and Snezhnaya will be about. 🤔
My guesses: Natlan will be about controlling one's impulses, such as anger and prejudice, and Snezhnaya will be about loyalty to one's friends, family, and country, to the bitter end.

@@thinkingfubuki I really like this theory! Also with Natlan and the themes of resurrection, that could tie into impulse control, cos who are you to play God, so to speak. Definitely looking forward to the future stories, as they've been progressively getting better. 😀

The Rainbow bridge representing Crossing of the Soul, Was something I hadn't realised as Well😮 Now, it makes me more sad 😢
The moment I realised, it just added that extra layer of sadness on top of everything we'd already seen. 😭 Was a well done event story.
