I'm so glad the footage was used in this video! Thank you for the shoutout! Can't wait to ride again with you guys! 🏁🏁🏁
Thank you! Always great to hang out with Electric Dreams!
It seems like a great high quality scooter. Segway thinks about their products and delivers something different. NICE
Great comment! Segway really knows how to deliver high-quality products that stand out. If you're into outdoor activities like camping or need backup power at home, I highly recommend checking out Segway's Portable PowerStation Cube Series. It's packed with features like massive capacity, fast recharging, versatile sockets, and even waterproof technology. Definitely a game-changer!
I got mine last summer in July. I’ve put on around 700km so far with no issues. It is fast , stable , smooth and worth every penny.
worth every penny...till you realize it has half the battery compared to other scooters In the same price class...
@@-joo3033 Voltage is for speed, amps is for acceleration. Will it go 60 MPH? No, but it does go 45 and I would argue that’s absolutely adequate for 99% of use cases
It can have a 50 volt battery with huge amps and still have lightning acceleration
@@Astimar. didnt say anything about voltage or top speed,or acceleration (Segway loses In both btw) just stated the fact that the Battery is very small compared to some other scooters In the same class...also less voltage requires thicker cables and higher kw motors to reach higher speeds etc so its not an advantage In any way...
@@Astimar. Your electrical skills could use some sharpening, lol! Higher voltage is typically used to keep amps lower, which is generally a good thing. High amperage requires more robust wiring and circuitry. Typically more heat too. It's far better to use higher voltage (if it can be handled in the application) and low amperage to achieve the same wattage/output. Frankly, I'm not sure why they wouldn't have used a higher voltage, but I'm sure they had their reason.
What range have you been able to get ?
Thanks Jimmy and Andrew! Love the quality and performance with that GT2. I would give up top-end speed for everything else this scooter does right.
Totally agree!
Love from Utah to you and yours buddy, thanks for introducing me to onewheel! Keep killing it.
The refined looks and the transparent display is what caught my eye.
👁️ catching!
The display is something out of the future. We are excited to see what new comes out this year.
I agree . Looks great .. no need to go any faster then 45 anyway on these... It really feels faster then that anyways
Had been waiting for you gentlemen to review this scooter. Looking forward to the full review!
Just need the weather here to defrost a little so we can film. Hopefully soon!
Andrew's the man! It's me Nestor from Vegas.
I REALLY liked that you guys showed the folding mechanism you guys did a GREAT JOB!!!
Amazing Vid TheFloatLife! keep up the good work
Thumbs up for the new scooter. 👍🏻 Two thumbs up for the Predator Helmets. 👍🏻👍🏻😁
I want to see the top speed but since it is so cold where you are, gonna be hard to achieve those 43 MPH claim. Ty for the review.
That's the plan! It's been a long cold winter here.
Andrew mentioned that they got it up to about 68km, which is 42mph, so definitely close.
I was picking between this scooter and those XP lectric bikes. I chose the scooter. I'm obviously not bringing a lot of heavy load on my scooter. It's semi-foldable and I think it could fit in my Nissan Sentra in the trunk if I place it right. I don't have to check on oil transmission and pump tires frequently. Holds up a lot of weight and it's fast! Super fast! Could use this beast in Austin, TX next time I go back for a vacation.
@@Sadistic626 I can't say because I didn't have the time or money to buy it.
@@Sadistic626 It's ok, though. Found alternatives that are competitively better than it.
i got my GT2 a few months ago. I love it!
This is so sick! I just got a pint, and i think ev riders in Denver are all waiting for the snow to melt lol
I really can't wait to get one of these.
you guys do such a great job
Hey Jimmy. Good job always! 🤙🏼
I've enjoyed your videos for a few months now great content!Im looking into purchasing my first scooter are there any drawbacks to purchasing a segway super scooter vs the other brands? Thanks.Shawn
That display is amazing.
It looks great, well built, and reliable.. puncture proof tires are a plus,.. its oricey, but so was the nanrobot ls7+ i had which was very unstable and scary, i may grab this one , especially if irngoesnon sale . Love the look and ride of it.. from the display to the blinkers and futuristic look.. and speed ,water rating ..what more do you need,my concern is privacy, how do you lock it, start it.. is there a pass code or some kind of remote start?? I imagine you cant leave it out due to theft, if you have to run errands inside somewhere.8
How easy/hard is it to push this along when walking with it if you're simply trying to transport it in a safely manner before/after using it? I ask because it's obviously heavy. Thanks.
It's 116lbs.. so you can imagine
Thanks!
Thank you!
This is exactly why its so great to have lots of competition. Shows when products are way over priced. Dual 1500 W . And only 50v … wolf king GT pro example. 72v 35ah, dual 2000w motors . $3,200. Sine wave controller . Prefer dualtron?(i do not as i hate square controllers) but for $300 more the dualtron thunder 2 eats this and spits it back out. 😊 (what would we do without competition)
Or for $800 less you can get a Kaabo wolf king gt
@@hyrulemasterchef9573 That's what I'm leaning towards, it's hard to beat it for the money. This GT2 looks very refined and polished though, and I'm sure that's what you're paying for (as well as the name).
You did not get the video at all. This scooter is about quality, refinement and reliability. Other brands are nowhere near Segway in these points. Also it's not slow at all, he said it's almost as fast as Nami. Yes given the dimensions it should've had a larger capacity battery but otherwise it's a spectacular scooter.
@@Martin_H.94 They add battery cooling, thats why it has less battery than it should be. This device drop its IP ratting down to IP54 if you care about that.
This product give you ride quality, if you care about that.
If you wanna change the road tires for ones that are all season off-road tires to this scooter do you can if you want to change it so if you has to goes through off road street too...
It’s thanks to the GT2 that I got into EUCs! Segway sent me the pre-order details and I said “how much!!??”. I spent half the money and bought my first EUC, S18, instead. Lol
Lol, EUCs are amazing machines!
@@Andrew-vt4jt I now have a Master and just ordered an EX30!
I know. The price is mental! I built a 12.4kw escooter with 72v 20s8p high discharge cells, my1020 mid drive motor and 72v 150a sinewave controller all for under £1200. It doesn't look as good but will leave that very expensive thing in the dust on acceleration, hills and top speed all while having a few extra grand in your pocket.
Can't wait for the next GT2 video! Mine is sitting in the garage waiting for spring (Canada).
Heated garage I hope.. the battery might not like being out in the cold for a whole canadian winter.
@@JP-qq2kn you bet it's heated. I can't stand clearing snow and ice off windows!
@@Geoff240ti 👍
Thank you Jimmy and Andrew. I enjoy your content which is pleasantly offered, precise and knowledgeable. 40+ mph should be enough speed for me, and although you both enjoyed the Mantis King GT, I would dare say this Segway surpasses your enthusiasm for the Mantis. That being said, disregarding the price difference, which would you both consider the better scooter for a person who rides for pure enjoyment, most riding at 15 to 20 mph, considers safety an very important aspect of riding, and portability is not an issue. I understand this does not truly define a rider, but at my age, (67) I would like a smooth ride, enough power to get up hills, offer speed for a thrill once in a while, and still be able to ride gently with my seven year old daughter. Kaabow offers fine equipment, but in your video the Segway seems to be very well engineered. Any comment(s) would be greatly appreciated and highly regarded.
For someone looking for pure joy and great quality who doesn’t need incredible speed or range or portability, I’d recommend the Segway GT1 or GT2.
Thank you very much for your reply. Last question…is there a Patreon (sp) page for your website? Thank you and kind regards Gentlemen.
At 67 what happens when you crash on one of these?
Wow 🤩 that’s a brilliant scoot scoot I want one
Im hyped for P100s and UiFi. GT1/2 just way out of my spec. Too heavy and im worried about ist battery cooling that smack down its IP ratting to 54.
I've been bouncing between so many scoots and the GT2 always remains at the top, I reckon, it's settled, ordering now. FedEx hates me so fingers crossed it doesn't show up damaged like everything else does from them...
Good luck! Keep us posted!
It's a sweet scooter! The quality of build is second to none.

It sure looks sweet, I am just now pulling the trigger on it so I'll be sure to use your affiliate link! Cheers!
@@Andrew-vt4jt
Well, I've ended up with the Nami Klima Max, so far so good, decided to go more portable with this one before I go in deep on a heavyweight scooter. As a motorcycle guy, I really struggle with the thumb throttle, one of the attractions to the Segway is the twist throttle.
@@Andrew-vt4jt how's the tires on this are they reliable, and what's the start up procedure, is there a pass code or key fab . I noticed you didn't use any keys.
I'm looking at this one also.. had the Nan robot ls7+.. and that was very unstable , very expensive. This seems worth the price on sale anyway
shoutout to segway for finally lowering the handlebars, you have way more control riding with your arms straight, than lets say on xiaomi where the handlebars goes up to your chest, i know this from freestyle scooter riding for a few years a long time ago. im excited to see what the lifetime on this product is, alot of scooters batteries dies out after 1.5-2 years of use.
You speak the truth. Most people don’t understand this handlebar height principle.
@@freshlycharged or the proper stance, where you stand more like on a skateboard. atleast for if you want the best control for curving corners and the like
No steering damper, yet it's that stable? Nice.
I see you guys are into safety gear. Heads up, when transporting something heavy in the back of a minivan/ hatch back without strapping it down or without a heavy duty passenger barrier. In an accident it can injure or kill you.
I thought the same thing. Best to tie it down with a rachet strap if possible.
These are surprisingly only about AUD $4500 way down here in Perth. I got a Dualtron City on order though, at nearly $5,500. Just because it's bigger still, and has 14 inch wheels and 2 x 3000W of fun. My daughter might be a good fit for the Segway, though...
The Dualtron City is a sweet scooter. I like the Segway GT2 a little bit better but the City is great for casual commuting and not having to worry about large potholes.
where are you guys located? thanks for the reviews.
I recently moved to Colorado. I have a Ninebot F65 and sometimes it’s almost impossible to ride due to the high winds. Initially I was thinking on getting this scooter but decided to get a Wolf GT pro instead. I feel like the Ninebot doesn’t have enough power to cut through the wind and the GT is too expensive for what it offers.
make it 48 volt. it wil be completely different scooter only motorwire upgrade needed and 12 volt pack added too the stock battery. can make phone charger and evrything
I will buy one next Spring.
Yeah that's what I'm waiting for after the holidays and winter is over
Andrew what gloves do you use around 9:00 minutes when you load the scooter to the car?
Are you all gonna make a video about the latest firmware update to the GT2, would love to see your take on it 🤞🏽🙏🏽
Just bought the G30LP, maybe one day if I enjoy riding I'll upgrade.
Hi . Can you please explain about controller . An owner burnt controller on race mode. Manufacturer said can be burnt 1-2 a year. So how then they call it super scooter. I want to know before I plan to buy thanks 😊 Alex
Hello 👋 what kind of range do you get in eco mode? I’m 6’0 190, looking for the best RANGE scooter, don’t care for speed
Would you say that a $4000 e-bicycle would be a better mode of transportation regarding safety at speed and comfort?
Nah.. this is about being able to have fun without dealing with to much traffic.., ebikes are nice too.. not for everyone though.. like this isnt
Is it water resistant ? And is it brushless motor ?
I love watching things i cant afford.. shout outs from philliphines 😅
Love it
How does it compare to a WKGT in some more reasonable metrics like 0 - 30 mph or 0-40 mph ?
we need the weather to warm up a bit so we can test safely. It's been a cold and snowy winter!
The Apollo Pro is the one I keep looking at.
everything else out there looks like a cobbled together afterthought the segway looks like a well thought out .refined . vehicle from the future.. they set the bar very high.
When is the release of full review? Waiting for your full review before buying one. 😅
Putting more time on it but you should buy it if you have the funds to do so. It really is an amazing scooter. The best build quality we've ever seen on a scooter.
My scooter keeps throwing a E0 code and the rear wheel locks up. Can't figure it out
What scooter do you have?

@@freshlycharged thanks man
Why the twist throttle tho
the build quality appears to be amazing - but what about the range? how far can you go with it? would be nice to see a range test 👍🏻
Electric scooter guide states its around 50km range in Sports/race mode
In Eco mode might be longer
Plus you can switch from 2WD to 1WD to preserve battery life too
@@gtone339 Segway always lacks in range. I'm 230lbs and want a scooter that can carry me at least 20 miles with high speeds 80% of the time
@@bearlyphased you will hardly find one out there that go far at really high speeds with that weight
Anyone talk about miles range in here? Today was my first day from home to work (31 miles distance one way) and according to GT2 I’m only allowed to ride 40 miles per charge 😔😔 when is supposed to be 55 miles per charge.
Depends on how your riding.. sport, eco , using boost etc , 1 motor, both motors.. is a hilly drive also as that drains the battery quick
did you ride koogo kukukirin g2max
wait the sec. gt1 and gt2 doesn't have Regen brake?
Is their a discount code ?
Get it for $500 through our link in the description.
If the battery was 60v 42ah I would have considered this. Or if it was possible to get a extended battery. Great scooter
wtf, it already goes like 50 miles. Are you trying to illegally run drugs to want to go further? (Obviously im joking on the second part, but not the first part : )p
@@srobeck77 for 4k the battery should be bigger and more powerful.. this isn’t going 50 miles riding real world. GT series has the worst specs in their class. The engineering is top tier tho

White marks are called torque stripes by the way.
Pneumatic tires?
It does have pneumatic tires.
-37 windchill here in Mass ! instant battery death hahaha
🥶
Maaaaaaan, what a machine! ❤😍🛴 Segway is hush hush w/certain specs, I’ve been trying to find out the voltage for months! 50V…..50 VOLTS! 😱 I’m shocked! We’re use to 60V/72V/84V….they chose 50, & it’s still a BEAST! 😁
So the specs are:
Motor: 50V 3000W
Battery: 50V 30ah 🔋
Range: 56MI
Speed: 44MPH
Niiiiiice! 💪🏾
Surely they will upgrade 60V at least, or higher to satisfy consumer demand, otherwise Obarter and Qiewa, ect, will get a larger slice.
Just to be clear and correct, your list is a bit off from the true spec sheet, as the actual pack has nominal voltage of 50.4v and while 3000W is the nominal power output of of the twin motors, the actual peak power under RACE-BOOST mode is 6000W. For full, official specs, see the manual here: store.segway.com/media/code-baby/product-file-uploads/1402/Segway-GT-series-Product-Manual.pdf
@@carrisasteveinnes1596 Not only are they unlikely to push into the 60+ range, but they have absolutely no reason to do so. The world’s only dedicated racing scooter, the eSC SX-1, uses the same voltage as the GT2 for the same reason. Pack stability, thermal load, and cell safety is optimal at this voltage, so pushing it higher under 6000W peak output is an unnecessary risk to the pack itself.
I think they use an uncommon voltage so that they can trap customers into only buying their stuff when it comes to replacing certain parts. Go look for a pre built battery and charger at that voltage from other suppliers.
tiny battery and not impressive perfomance, for the price.
What scooters do you think of in this price category? I would appreciate your examples and I would like to take a look
Thanks in advance :)

why wouldn't you just get the 72v wolf warrior for a similiar price
This is built better .. not everything is about speed... 45mph is fast enough on these things . Plus the dual stem kaboo does isnt very stable .
Where’s the full video of Andrew & Electric Dreams? 🤔 @Freshly Charged
If this thing had a bigger battery say twice the size, i think it would be about perfect
It's already like 120lbs, twice the battery? It would weigh more than most people riding it.
@@Bigheadedwon Not necessarily, you can use larger cells, that arent physically much bigger, but hold a better charge. And increase the voltage as well, which would also increase the WH. And there are scooters out there that way damn near 200 pounds so it wouldnt be first time.
IP rating?
IP54, they add battery cooling that know its ratting down. Segway usually have IPX5 or higher.

Ofcourse it's stable without a steering damper, it has a zero caster angle front wheel.
it’s a decent scooter, the problem is that it’s very overpriced for its performance, i’d rather get products from kaabo that have a more reasonable price
after having both i can say Kaabo is one or two steps behind Nami and Segway In build quality, Kaabo is a great budget option.
expensive for so little. It might be good for level roads, but not good for hilly roads.
Not for off roading that's for sure
Don't see this being too popular anytime soon. Defeats the purpose. I'd rather have a KTM e-bike than this
So many people complaining about their Segways !!
I would pay $1800 max for any scooter! For $2999 (recent price drop) I rather buy a motorcycle scooter and can go anywhere. I won’t deny this is a nice toy though.
Well the idea of these are people don't need to have to worry about registration or licensing, insurance etc.. it's convient for those who live close to their jobs right.. obviously your not using this if you commute 40 miles each way.. good luck finding back roads
The only way I’ll ride a Segway again somebody give it to me I’ll never purchase another one again
You bought the wrong one then didn't you
Like a bunch of reprimanded school kids, we're not allowed to ride such luxuries like the GT2 in the UK. We face stupidly big fines and have all our nice toys confiscated.
Why pay 3500 for this scooter that goes 43 mph and only a range of 56 miles, when you can get a Kaabo Wolf King GT Pro on sale for 3295 and you can go 63 mph with a range of 74 miles
Why do you need to go 63mph.. and besides this is built way better then any kaboo scooter. You can see that
I still don't think it's better than the kaabo and Nami.
It's built way better. The dual stem on kaboo is crap and it not all good reviews.. don't know about NAMI.. except for they don't appeal to me. You ride these you need blinkers and good headlight, tail light and tires . Self healing, puncture proof tires have sold me on this . When its back in stock I'll get it.
