Lou there is a dumpster up near the front entrance next to the hunters checking station, there is also a free dump over at the withlacoochee River Park around the corner and they have potable water spickets throughout the astronomy field.
That was a very nice looking campground ! Love the big oak tree's they are beautiful, and probably very old. I love cow's too, Milo ! lol My grandmother had cow's on her farm. Nice and clean , the grounds are well maintained. Sounded so quiet and peaceful. Loved listening to the song birds, and Im sure I heard a Hawk calling also. Very nice video. Thanks Lou. Oh, at the end where you showed the sign, that said, "No vehicles beyond campground"...you know why right ? It was right under that sign,.... BIGFOOT CROSSING AHEAD !!! ooooo, Scarry !! I think you and Melody were probably being watched by him from the wooded area !! : o lol Vicky ; )
I appreciate your detailed reviews. The in-truck video quality would be greatly improved if you place a dark colored towel on the dash, to prevent dash reflections in the windshield. Keep up the good work.
Thank you for this awesome feedback. I'm going to try the black towel fix. There is definitely a learning course in making RUclips videos and I really appreciate your useful feedback. Thanks for watching! Lou
Very nice, thank you. I have a question. At about 8:38 in your video - can those tables be moved around to a more convenient spot? It doesn't look anchored, but it's hard to tell.
Ha. What's with the gate lock? Looks more like a midevil torture device, than a security option. I'm here now, freezing...but having a blast. Dade City is a charming township. Love the cows! Your overview vid, is spot on.
Thanks so much for sharing this info! We plan to winter in Florida and always prefer to boondock. This place looks perfect. I appreciate the info on the Verizon coverage. That is important to us as well. What is the total length of time that you can stay there? Thanks again! :)
Dean and Shalane, We watch your channel regularly because of your down to earth approach and the useful information you provide on the places where you camp. The Southwest Florida Water Management District allows up to 7 consecutive days (six nights). The free reservation may be made up to three months in advance. Thanks for watching! Hope our travels cross paths someday. Would love to meet you folks in person. Lou

having lived in Florida most of my life, I do not appreciate your videos. Working people such as myself do not have the luxury of booking our camping trips a year in advance . You are exposing the only campgrounds that usually are not reserved for the entire winter by you snow birds. I pay for all of the wonderfull state parks that you like to visit with my taxes but I can not take advantage of them during the best camping weather of the year.
You are in luck, the Florida Governor recently changed the reservation window for booking state park campsites to allow Florida residents first dibs. Screwed every non-resident, but enough said. Enjoy the new Florida resident camping reservation window. Fortunately, us Florida nonresidents still have these dry camping locations to fall back on! Lou

This is great additional information to round out the video. Much appreciated. Lou
Cool video thanks for sharing free camping in Florida what could be better than that.
Our pleasure!
Very nice. I’m going there for sure. Thanks for showing us.
Have fun!
This is great! Amazing spot in Florida.
We agree!

I did not notice any anchors on the tables, so you probably have some play to work with in positioning the table. Thanks for watching! Lou
I'm headed here too...thanks guys! If Milo likes it...then I know we will have fun too.
Dade City has all the resupply you will need to include a Walmart. Safe travels. Lou

I'll be there in a few weeks. Get to ring in the New Year at Cumpressco! Camp host Patty is the best. I like Ashley a little better.
Ashley CG has the vault toilet and a campground host. Yep - we like Ashley CG too. Lou
Love it.. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching.
@@LivingOurDreamNow, I went to the site to get a permit, and it's saying they are closed. This was 2017 and hasn't opened yet.
