I was trying to find a decent video for this place and low and behold I found my 2 favorite You Tubers! And I can see what this is about instead of sifting thru all kinds of video's. You 2 are a godsend and you don't even know it. I reserved a spot valentines day for 7 days. I guess most people are staying home valentines day because they are all booked solid until then. Thanks again. If I ever see you all at a camp steaks are on me. ty BTW I don't know if you know the rule change on SWWMD lands. You can only camp for 30 days per year and you can't have 2 bookings going at the same time. If they catch people cheating out they go. The reason they said is because people were booking them all up and other couldn't get in and sometimes the people didn't show up wasting the days for other campers. It's a good idea but I camp more than 30 days a year. Right now I am figuring out how to camp during hunting season on WMA lands through Fish and Wildlife since I have hunting license and a disabled crossbow hunting permit. It is hard to figure out with zones, dates, and what license to use. Thanks again and thanks for your service. You 2 are gems! Even though I hate to give away good spots I still shard this on FB for you. lol
Free - but be aware of the rules: Camping is limited to no more than 7 consecutive days and 30 total days per calendar year when camping on FWMD (Florida Water Management District) Great video's - thanks for sharing all of these places. I have been to Dupuis and was very pleased. I stayed at the Equestrian CG and the other one up the road that were for tents only. You're correct - these free campsites were hardly shown on RUclips or searchable on the free camping websites - I was told by a camping' neighbor about the FWMD and setup my account online and reserved my sites once I was aware. It was a game changer for me. Thanks again for your great video's!
These are wide open spaces without numbered campsites. I’m sure there is an unpublished limit that is imposed just by virtue of the free reservations that are issued to camp here. Lou
Hi guys. Thanks for this video. We were considering this stop when in FL for the Tampa show. I cannot for the life of me find where you get the permit. I tried the page that you linked to but I just don't see it. I saw on another site that this location may be now closed. Maybe that's why, but thought I'd check with you before I gave up. Maybe I'm just looking in the wrong place. lol Any thoughts?
I just looked and Lake Panasoffkee is still listed for camping. I address the reservation procedures in this recent video: ruclips.net/video/LLKecSHfq84/видео.htmlsi=Hpn3nc-Y_9NjllBG
You'll need to refer to the particular Water Management District for specific criteria and limits because each one may vary. There are different water management districts in Florida and each offer camping opportunities within their respective districts. Lou
Not right on the water, but if you are looking for truly scenic water take a look at Wilderness Landing in Northwest Florida. I've done a video on it and you'll have lots of space at the campsite, hot showers, and flush toilets to go with your free camping. The views from this scenic river are spectacular. Lou
Thank you for making all this content and sharing it with us. Its great to be able to see what these sites have to offer. I just have a corolla and "car camp" with a tent so knowing I can get to these places is a bonus
It would be nice if you would cover in detail equestrian facilities when covering an "equestrian" campground. Us folks who would like to take a horse would like to know if (1) they have a barn, (2) they have horse paddocks, (3) they have water for the horses - in addition to the things you do cover like "big rig friendly" and show camping spots. I understand that horses are probably not "your thing," but you are putting out a video that is rather restricted to non-equestrian interest even tho you are addressing an equestrian campground.
I hear you brother. However, viewer attention span is somewhat limited and piling in more content that few would find useful reduces the prospective success of the video. Now if you had an equestrian camper that brings their horse to these camping locations, that would be a good thing for them to cover in their videos targeted to equestrian campers. My videos are intended for those interested in RV camping. Lou
Does the campground host check up on all campers? I have several small dogs...always leadhed, or in their stroller. Would they check on me? Under 5lbs each.
Not sure, always good to stop in and chat with the camping area host. They are usually very accommodating with campers that exercise good judgement and are respectful of others.
@@LivingOurDreamNow Thank you. I will do that. This is my next trip this coming week. All because of you and Melody...and Milo too. I had a blast at DuPruis Campgrounds. So beautiful. I was there for the Jupiter off-leash dog beach. But wound up exploring Lake Okeechobee...awesome first (ever) solo tent camping trip. A sincere Thank you!
Lou, Melody & Milo...I made it! Thank you for all the details. This is so close to me, that I'm still in shock. I purchased a bigger tent...and me and ALL the pups are having a blast. It is freezing. A hunt starts the day that we leave.
Absolutely grateful that I ran across your video!!! Thanks for sharing!

It's actually pronounced Pan-ah-sahf-key or as the locals call it "lake pan." Great video.
How many sites are available here? Amazed there are nice flush toilets ! I really appreciate this video.

Where there is a 30 day per calendar year limit, does that mean all parks under the water management or 30 days limit per specific park? nice video.

Do you know of any free camping that has a lake or pond where I can pull my small teardrop camper on to be rite by the water

Yep - You'll have to play with it.

Is there fresh water access and or a dump station? Near by resupply? Thank you ... nice video!
Not on the property. But it is very close to town of Wildwood so you shouldn't have a problem finding something.
Can you access the lake from here
There is no lake access at this camping area. Lou
