Older video, the best C10 channel on RUclips, Steve is the best I've seen on working on these old C10 Trucks, he's shows you exactly how to fix it, and explains it as well, he makes it look easy, one thing about working on these trucks, you got to have patience, it makes the job alot easier, catching up on some of these videos, THANKS.
It makes my day when you put another video on. I’m closer than ever to getting started on my project. Very soon I’ll be getting into it and your videos are the reason. Thanks for all the great work you do.
Hey Gibby. Just referring back to this particular video. Just dissembled a vent window assembly for my 61. I had to replace both doors when I had bodywork and paintwork done. The body shop guy reused the two vent window assemblies outta of my old doors. Problem with that is he didn't bolt down the lower bracket on the division bar inside the door. I had this annoying rattle when driving the down the road. So further exploring I was beginning to understand why the dude didn't fasten down the lower brackets?! The windows didn't roll down all the way??!! I was kinda mad. So I'm rebuilding the vent assembly that come out of the replacement door. For what ever reason the ones currently in there are either bent or distorted somehow??!! I don't know. I'm will see if my plan works?! Lol!! Thanks for the detailed videos sir it helps alot!
Since you’re right there in Memphis ‘n all, I just gotta say this; you, sir, are the Elvis Presley of ‘60-‘66 C10 restoration! You’re the king, baby. The king! TCB. Peace out!
Hi from the UK. I've just discovered your channel and what a find. It is a pleasure to watch you work and the quality of your camera work is very good. Also I have to say, seeing you work on this 50 year old truck is a testament to American automotive engineering, it sure does last. Cheers and thanks.
Thanks a million Mr Steve your instructional vidios have helped me tremendously , i am currently working on a 1970 c10 short bed stepside, trying to leave it all stock , after watching your vidios i started doing the interior work by myself thanks again ,ok here we go.
Hey Gib 1960 and 61 pickups actually have an upper door weatherstripping that is a glue on type. I just got mine installed a few weeks ago. Made a huge difference on stopping the wind noise!!!
I’m new to the channel, but Wow! I’m impressed sir. I love the videos do for your red truck and the blue one. My trucks nowhere near yours but it’s my first one and it’s my daily driver. Thanks for all the information and you make it look so easy. Wish you all the best.

Nice video. I really appreciate it. I'm getting ready to do this on my '66. You made this look so easy, I'm sure I'll come back to it as I'm doing mine. Thanks again
Steve, where did you get your rivet kit? I've got a 66 but the rivets they sent me are absolutely not long enough. Mine came from LMC. I've probably watched this video 5 or 6 times to make sure I wasn't missing something. I'm guessing you had no problems like that.
Whenever I work with glass and rubber contact, I always spray a little silicone dash cleaner on the rubber and that stops it gripping on the glass and makes any movement all smooth and free. Great job !
Nice red truck! I like your other one in the garage too. The ranch truck I have is a 1963 Chevrolet C10 fleetside pick up. I plan on getting it on the road. I can see what I need to do and where I can get some motivation to get it done. I have another 1957 Chevrolet stepside 1/2 ton truck. I sat through four of your videos, and its late tonight. But I am in the garage cleaning up before I start getting my 57, going through it to get it done by summer 2019.
Delivering the goods as usual Steve. By the way, I find myself going back and listening to your music video every week!!! "IWildwood Flower" just sets a good mood in motion!!! "w.w."

Dang bro. Your work is amazing. My 79 f150 is coming along, but she's a DD. Was watching your door rust repair. Think it's going to be cheaper to order new doors than to have that kinda level of work done. ha. Love watching man.
The washer trick great idea, didn’t like how my first attempt looked and the lmc seals was cracked in 6 months picked up some new Steele rubber, the washer on the crush rivet worked awesome, clean secure easy.
Great video. Your red truck is very nice. I love the patina style on the blue truck too. Very cool you showed looking back at videos of red truck all your videos which they are very helpful to anyone who is working on one of these trucks.
Awesome videos Gibson63. I’m currently restoring my ‘63…should have it back from paint hopefully by February…I’m currently rebuilding my vent windows at my shop. The small rounded metal trim that appears pressed on along the edge where the division bar felt goes, do you happen to know where that can be purchased?

if you were to replace the glass itself(my glass is missing from the frame), do you know if the glass takes some kind of insulating rubber between the glass and channel it sits in? I cannot find a place that sells it if it does exist
hey buddy i have a 1961 chevy c10 apache that i just got and i have the metal lining that gos on the window its self, one the side ones, and was wondering if i truly need it or if i can take it off let me know pleas and thank you
If your talking about the windows you do need them it seals the glass and keeps the it from moving side to side or you can remove it then get a different type of deal for the upper Chanel
There is a short track installed on the inner part of the door. The third wheel goes in there. It's best to fit the wheel into the track before attaching the four screws that hold the regulator to the door.

Can I pick your brain a bit? I have a 62 and I’m currently doing the same thing. A few questions I have are when ordering the felt. There’s with or without metal frame doors, what’s the difference there? Also I ordered some felt already but it didn’t come with the felt to insert into the wing window section. It just came as one fairly long piece. I am starting with nothing to really go off of and I don’t consider myself to be a mechanic haha. Im just trying to put together something someone ripped apart years ago and left it to sit. Thanks for your help and time. If you have part numbers that would be great. My doors are identical to yours.
GagePbnBae When you order this kit I believe you have to get with or without door trim because there’s is a difference in the thickness, the kit I ordered from (Classic parts)came with a long strip I had to cut also if I remember well

I've bought 2 pairs that sit almost a 1/2" below the bottom of the window opening
