She’s exceptional especially for her age and very consistent in her jumps. Hopefully she’ll stay in the sport long and probably start competing internationally and help china get medals.
I hope to see her in the Olympics someday. She is too young to go to 2026 but maybe we’ll see her in 2030. I hope she can last that long without injury.
There was a time, in figure skating, when a fast centered spin was an absolutely classical necessary move in any top drawer program. The spins have become ugly. Demos that show a skater can mechanically attain the 3 contortions a judge wants to see. Period. The whole beauty of a spin has gotten 80% lost because of requirements. I have just seen 2 skaters w world class spins... The rest? Bleh, imho. A spin should be centered. Ms. layback and ms. Tike put the rest of the skaters to shame over the spins. It's ugly to watch a skater come out of a contorted position? And *HAVE to immediately put her other foot down for balance. Ugly... and that's ignored now for technical prowess. Whadda shame. If a quad or a triple or a combo can be done w speed power n beauty, too? Then great. Her spins could be 1 out of 2 examples of breathtaking artistry w athleticism. Classical figure skating combined w modern qualities judges want. Nice program, well done. Gold quality spins. Keep em simple as you can. It's pure beauty.
