6:44 people like this are magic to harmonize with. they don't try to change the song in anyway, keep it mellow, but you can hear the beauty in the harmonization. it is really fun to harmonize when its singers like this
Also being in the band helps a lot. Our goal was for the whole band to sound like one big instrument. This means blending in with every other instrument. For example, a baritone should be able to blend with a trumpet if theyre playing the same note. That doesn’t necessarily mean the baritone should sound like the trumpet or the other way around. It just means they need to match each other and blend. This made me realize that it helps you with singing because you don’t have to sound exactly like the person your singing with to blend. You don’t even have to be the same vocal type, just Match them and try to blend. Also, pay attention to the vowels and articulations they are using, and when they switch registers. Good luck to everyone 🙏🏾
It's really just them singing in lower tone and u singing higher if u need a better explanation it means they want u to find different keys notes tones etc to make the song sound better and the tone key or note u do has to fit with the song

I second this, I'm in theater, and the only way I've improved significantly is by practicing everyday 👍🏻👍🏻😁😁
