    Been looking at upgrading my detector from the reviews the minelab gold monster seems to be a good machine

    • @PetesGoldAdventures
      @PetesGoldAdventures  2 года назад

      Hi Charles, the Monster is a very capable gold finding machine, although can be difficult to use in mineralised ground. Around Central Victoria the ground is quite mineralised and detectable ground can be hard to find, where as around the Ballarat area there is a lot of ground the Monster can handle. So it does depend on where you prospect. If you have good ground for the Monster, go for it, but if not go for a PI machine.
      Cheers, Pete

    I just watched the video yesterday of you with your monster in that spot that you filmed last year. Still a good spot to go with the monster. Your panning bucket water turned very Milky in colour compared to any dirt I've brought home to pan.
    When you detected for species at home did you run the monster on manual or Auto?
    Thank you for sharing your adventures. Cheers

    • @PetesGoldAdventures
      @PetesGoldAdventures  2 года назад +2

      The Monster loves that material and you find the gold in little pockets, becoming harder to find now. The material is a mixture of pipe clay and conglomerate gravels with little mineralisation, turns the water thick really quick, hence the two tubs. I still run it in "all metal manual 9" Its very sensitive at that and will pick up a nano dot, well almost. Cheers mate

    • @steven_ewen
      @steven_ewen 2 года назад +1

    • @PetesGoldAdventures
      @PetesGoldAdventures  2 года назад +1

      @@steven_ewen In low mineralised ground they are quiet and nice to run, they don't like ironstone one bit, so you stick with quartz and old timers throw outs, they can be good to work without the chatter. Cheers
