      The way boxing is filmed is something that can be greatly improved. It’s quite ridiculous in this day and age that we still have ropes blocking the view. Wouldn’t cost much for one of these companies to hire a premium cinematographer to sort it out. One way of filming would be to embed cameras in each corner. Another trick would be to have translucent ropes. The UFC do it very well because they have to. The cage means you have to find a way to get the cameras inside.

    This is either a wake up call for Wardley that he is not yet ready for big time like he thought or he will go down the Gorman road… yes it was close and yes they are both warriors but the way Wardley fought would be suicide against a better opponent. The center lane was "open all night". Rematch yes but maybe a filler in between… the early success and "whisperers" got into his head but now its a new day and new beginning. Clarke is maybe too old to really make any significant changes to his armour but hats off to both. Filler. Stadium. Cash in.

    • @DavidBenidorm
      @DavidBenidorm 2 месяца назад +3

      It’s a weird take to say he’s not ready for the big time. He’s knocked down every opponent he’s been in with pretty much, he showed elite heart and relentless, his movement is fantastic but you’re right, he needs to not be hit so much in the rematch and tighten up his attacks but the wildness is good, just control it more. He’s not trying to fight the big time, he’s working his way up the traditional route of professional British boxing and making a good living putting it on the line each time. He’s not dodging anyone and holds himself well. You can only applaud the British boxers that do this because it’s not about being the best, it’s about putting on a show for the fans and putting in everything you’ve got and you’ll be rewarded for it.

    These shrunken 6 min highlights of a 12 rounder r so deceptive..Because Fabios rallies r mostly him trying to come back with some returns after being hurt badly so his look more effective as its him fighting back but the full fight shows the real story of him being consistently beaten to the punch & clearly beaten up though showing great heart and soul (both of them)

      Have to disagree, yes Clarke certainly came across as the more skilled with more accurate power shots. However Wardly with his more unorthodox style and higher punch rate was far more effective with body shots. IMHO Wardly would’ve got a draw without the knockdown and points deductions on Clarke. The fact the Wardly got the knockdown and the points deduction on Clarke to me means he should’ve won. No denying that Clarke hit Wardley with some clangers. Wardley needs to works on his defence or he’ll have a short career moving up.

    Reminds me of the historic world-record bout between Ike Ibeabuchi and David Tua. It recorded the highest number of heavyweight boxing punches in a single match. The record still stands after over 30 years. Ike is Nigerian while David is Samoan, but both resided in US where they plied their trade at that time. Ibeabuchi failed to fulfill his potential as a future champion as a result if his run-ins with the law.

    Again, the judges need to be investigated (as does the ref, more on that later) you could argue Fraser won the first 5 rounds and possibly drew the one he was knocked down in. Then of course there is the point deduction for a low blow, but even then, I think he did enough but for one judge to give it 118/112 is as dodgy as the come. Boxxer and judges really need to be looked into as this is happening in just about every card. Whilst I agree with the low blow point deduction, the referee warned Wardley FIVE times about hitting with the back of the glove yet not once deducted points. Why? However, all that aside, they both give their all in this fight, took some big blows and neither wanted to give an inch, both out on their feet at the end and massive respect to both of them. Shame it's slightly tarnished by bad refereeing and awful judges. Bring on the rematch!
