I love the distress crayons. I only have 4 sets, but I would like to get more. I'm trying to make this year about getting more TH items and crayons and stencils are my priority. If course, then I go and order AG's Floral Borders on Monday. It actually was the Spring of Anna Griffin since I ordered the Empress (a great purchase!) And several of her large easel dies and plan to order the Gingerbread house additions🙄 Tonic is having a great sale on Tim Holtz dies right now so I bought a few. The set you used today is a great one! And for anyone interested, he has demo'd and also done a Q&A on Distress Crayons since quarantine started. You can find the replays on his blog.

@@VianneyCreates Yes, he is the king of demos because he knows his products inside and out. Then he has "creators" who use the dies and all the things he puts out, to show how to use them. You can check out StaceyHStamps and Artymiss on IG. They are my favorite makers of his. There are many more of course and they all have blogs showing how they use his things.

@@VianneyCreates Hi, I've been meaning to apologize for using your platform for my issues with Marco Papers. I was wasn't expecting it to go down the way it did. Although Lisa was very helpful! She got a hold of them & yes I finally got it straightened out. I had 7 items missing & they said they was holding the order because of that. Although I don't agree that they shouldn't of done that without asking me & also their system allows for Out of Stock items to be placed & paid for in your cart. I wish I had known this. Anyway I finally got the in Stock items but it took around 6 weeks. I'm in touch with the owner now about the other items. I hope all your items are there. 🤞🤞🤞 I really like your videos! 😍
@@tracilord4854 No worries! Lisa was freaked out and even apologized to me saying she doesn't run her business like that..this is before she realized you were talking about another company. LOL!! Don't even worry about it, I just got my Marco paper order in and the haul is currently uploading. I say that I don't recommend them but that's up to you all. It took about 5 weeks to get my order.

I still have 7 items in waiting on. 6 are memento refills that he said might not be here til July. No one has them in stock. So frustrating because that's the ink I've been using for 15 years & Love it, but hard to find refills. I'm gonna try to hold off to see of they come in but if not I'll just request a refund. So pretty. I had an ahah moment. I have never cared for distress crayons because they leave a mark if you put them on paper then try to work them out with water. Mixing them with water first is the solution-that’s a chemistry joke. Love how the flowers came out.
LOL!! I love a good pun! Yeah, I think I shied away from them for the same reason...the streaks/marks you can't get rid of. Sometimes markers and watercolor pencils do the same thing. Definitely working them with a little water first is the way!
What? A stencil, paper flowers and distress crayons and you created a beautiful card! You are so creative. The lace is making it so feminine and romantic looking. I don't have any distress crayons. I just didn't know what to do with them. I really like how you used them with stencils. Such a great look.

They really are! I only have a few gelatos, and don't use them nearly as often as I probably should. Just add a little something here and there. (; TYSM!

I have both of the items you used today and never done anything with them. I tested the crayons out and thought, oh cool, and stuck them in their storage box never to be seen again. I really like what you did with them and I am sure they will get some use now. And I just love your "crispy"flowers and will def get more use out of my die too. I was just using my TH crayons last night! I have the FULL set, including the metallic crayons. The card is SWEET and so VERY TRUE is the sentiment, "CREATIVITY (DOES) TAKE COURAGE" So, be COURAGEOUS & GO CREATE!

Yes! Those crayons will work much n the same way, on top of all the other fun things you can do with them. I'm glad you are working to find what you like and works for you. There are at least 10 sets of these Tim Holtz Distress crayons, all different. I have four sets and have ordered two more. I love using them as watercolor. Each set has a number. I love how you used them with a stencil. I love how your card turned out. I really like the flowers.

Hi again, Vianney. I just made a card using my TH Distress Crayons. I used a stencil then a DP border die, and also made three daisy type flowers and a curlicue instead of leaves. It turned out really cute.

Thank you. I know what you mean. When I went to get the lace, I was actually looking for some dies I have that make like a piece of net or texture. It needed a little something. Then I built up from there. Little things like that used to always catch me up, and now I just go for it.

I have all but 2 of the 10 or so sets, there's also a single since he wanted the white in 1 set. I also got that kit and I love the stamp set. There's a new color of Distress, speckled egg. So he may be adding more colors this year.

Awww, thanks! I do them myself. I just trimmed them back a bit, base coat, two coats of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri, and Seche Vite top coat. Nice and thick!! (:

Beautiful, creative card! I recently bought Tim H metallic distress crayons. Have not used them. I assume that watercolor crayons and gelatos are not the same. Hugs
So, the Recollections watercolor crayons are slightly different as are gelatos...but they do a lot of the same things. You can always try, what's the worst that could happen? I have very few gelatos but have been thinking about using them soon! TY!

Are you asking about the 3D glue gel? I think it would be harder to use in that little bottle bc the tip is so fine...it would take a lot of pressure to get that gel through it. TYSM!!

TYSM! I just wash them with water. Unless I use staz-on...then I use alcohol.
I noticed on a lot of your videos you use stamping card from crafters companion as your substrate. I’ve never used their stamping card (although I did recently get some) but I just wanted to know what the difference (or advantage/purpose etc) of using stamping card over watercolor paper or Neenah classic crest solar white? Thank you In advance!! 😁
Hello! So, for me, the CC stamping paper is a great value and is about 300 GSM. It's nice and thick, has a little tooth to it. Neenah is smoother and nicer, though. I like the CC stamping paper bc it can take quite a bit of water, sprays, inks, etc...and not get too warped. I love watercolor card, but it's not my everyday go to. I hope that helps as far as my thinking. TY!!

I watched some videos that said crayons and Gelato work blend better over gesso surface so seems I never get to doing that...
I can see why that would be as gesso is used to prep canvas so your paint stays/works better.
