Thanks Mel for sharing your experience and all the aspects including risks/food etc. very helpful for those with similar conditions like PE and requiring wisdom tooth removal along with it. 1)for CT Scan that you mentioned, did you have you take any ingestible liquid dye or something to drink before the scan? 2)the full mouth x-ray that you showed on screen, is it only the mouth's x-ray that dentist usually takes or from CT scan? 3)the food restrictions of liquid food for few days, was it same during your first wisdom tooth extraction or is it now only coz of 3 of them and on both sides? Pls share your experience after the surgery, good luck for the same.
Thanks for the comment and I will absolutely be putting a lot more detail into part 2. I failed to mention that 2 days prior to surgery they call you with your arrival time and a bunch of instructions around the day and the prescription so I will discuss that in the next video as I wasn't aware of a lot of things when I filmed this part. For the CT with my jaw no dye was needed it was just a regular standing CT where you put your head towards the scanner, bite on a plastic mouth piece and it revolves around your head for about 30 seconds. The x-ray image in the video was from the original x-ray at my dentist not the CT - I haven't seen the CT scan just that regular 2D x-ray. The CT just showed a 3D picture of that so the doctor could see how much space there was between my teeth and the nerve. The food restriction did apply when I had my first wisdom tooth removed a few years ago but not to the same extent. The hole needs to stay clean and it is extremely tender to start with so I had liquids for the first day but I could use the other side of my mouth to chew back then. So I was back eating meals pretty much straight away just carefully. This time as it is both sides I can't chew at all, I can barely open my mouth much right now. I am extremely swollen and it is definitely more painful that I thought it was going to be! I am currently 48 hours out and it is definitely a miserable time right now but I will update more in part 2 when I have recovered a bit more. Thanks for watching! :)
I just got this same wisdom tooth out and it was also laying sideways. It had done way more damage before I got it out than hers look to have. Never wait until the pain starts!
Hope everything went well for you Mel, thanks again for these fantastic videos👏👌
Still recovering but much better than last week for sure. It was a horrendous experience this week but I think I'm coming out the otherside now.
As long as you don't go through what I did with gallbladder surgery in early March. I'm now starting mental health counseling for PTSD.

You also have the lower tooth lying sideways in the jaw?
