A lot of ppl seems to have a negative opinion on this. Fact is, life is already crappy enough. If this is what makes them happy and they're not hurting anyone else then let them do it. You dont have to live their life plus you have no idea the circumstances under which they live or where they come from. For all you know she may be ill and only have a limited time in which she can safely have a baby thus they could not wait. In some cultures it is also a sign of good fortune and a blessing on the union to have a child before the nuptuals. All I'm saying is that it's not right to judge this couple when you don't know their story.
I have seen a few of these at weddings. It just raises the question, which came 1st the baby or the marriage?? Are u getting married because your pregnant or because u were getting married and oops we got pregnant. I know time marches on and people get more relaxed about things and etiquette and traditions get thrown out and getting pregnant before marriage is no big deal these days, but i think throwing in a gender reveal at a wedding is kinda tacky.
I realize your comment is 3 years old but anyway I got pregnant before getting married we were going to married anyway. My baby bump was already showing and I thought it was there was no sense in keeping it a secret just tell people and did I regret that I caught a lot of grief for it. Yes times have changed even back when I got pregnant in the late 80’s I thought people were going to be more open minded was I mistaken.
@@marwatson7408 I got pregnant in 1978 at 15 yrs old and got married at 16 and my husband was 21. My mom was the worse, luckily I had a awesome big brother who is 9 yrs older then me and my sister in law who was really supportive and surprisingly the church my family belong to was really supportive to. The ladies in the church even gave me a baby shower. Now the neighbors and such was a different story. They were not nice to me and felt sorry for my mom for some reason. Also my high school kick me out when they found out so I had to get a GED.
@@sewforlife5728 I’m glad you had some support I had some support too, but I wasn’t expecting the response I got from a co worker/ friend of mine from work . I just thought out of everyone she would’ve been more supportive and understanding boy was I mistaken. As soon as I punch in to go to work she pulled me in the the backroom and really laid into me. She started the conversation off by telling me how stupid and irresponsible I was for letting this happen and the pregnancy was all my fault. My fiancé was going to go into the marriage resenting me because in his mind I was trapping him. Then blame me for ruining his life. She was giving my marriage two years before it ends in divorce I was going to get stuck raising the kid on my own then want to move on with my life and find another man and no other man is going to want to raise or support someone else child. I was throwing my whole life away for this pregnancy and that’s the short version 🤰.
@@marwatson7408 I know people close to us can feel overwhelmed with this kind of situation, and I appreciate that, but at the end of the day it was me that was going to have the baby and deal with what I was going to have to cope with. My mom tried so hard to hide me away in my room and not let me outside or go anywhere because her friends might see me and my mom would feel ashamed or embarrassed. She made a big deal about me wanting to wear maternity clothes. It was 1978, everything was hip huggers and crop tops for God sake...lol I couldn't run around in that. The neighbors across the street who thought I was so sweet now thought I was the anti-christ..lol and the one next door stop talking to my parents. How stupid is that. My grandmother who got pregnant with my mom in 1927 and wasn't married and my mom's father ran off, and my grandmother got kick out of the house and told to never come back and she didn't. She got a bus and left . She met my step grandfather when she was 5 mos pregnant and they got married and he raised my mom. He was a really lovely man. My grandmother was really supportive of me. She told me, hold your head high and don't pay any attention to what these stupid people say. She said, when they are supporting u, paying your bills and helping raise your child they can have an opinion, until then tell them to shut up and mind their own business. So I did and I got married when my son was 4 mos old and I went on to have 2 more sons. They r now 43, 41, and 38 yrs old. We r super close. I divorced after 7yrs and remarried 12 yrs ago and we r very happy and he's great to my son's. So it all turned out. My mom wanted me to give my baby up for adoption and I refused. I look at my son now and think, I would have missed out on knowing this awesome, compassionate, smart, great sense of humor, loving person I call son.
@@sewforlife5728 Yes 1978 I was 15 myself it was a different time but I guess my co worker /friend was born during a time when these things weren’t very socially accepted. She also told me I was going off easy because if I were her daughter she would disown me for being unmarried and pregnant. Also told me people were thinking these things that she was saying and didn’t want to say anything to me because they didn’t want to hurt my feelings. That I also had a thinking and growing up to do. But we survived I wouldn’t change a thing went on to have 2 more children.

+Lisa Williams we are in 2016. Life doesn't go in the "meet a guy, date, marry, have sex, have a baby" order anymore. These are modern times and people have modern relationships. Everyone does whatever works for them, and it's perfectly ok. It's their own lives. If people doing whatever makes them happy is "tacky" for you, then that says more about your life than theirs.
Why was the dad wearing a cape lol, but other than that, beautiful wedding, bride, and hopefully happy and healthy baby!!!!!!!
So happy for them!!!! To the ass with the negative comment you don't know them or their story.

"Rip it rip it real good"😂😂
