The Gilson LC-53 Bico Pulverizer features a time-proven grinding design for fast and efficient processing of 1/4in (6.4mm) feed material, including hard rock and ores, into approximately 75µm size (No.200 sieve size). And all within a single pass (Depending on material type).
A threaded knob with a locking-lever, adjusts the gap between the two 8in (203mm) diameter grinding plates to control the particle size output. The LC-53’s throughput is about 60lb (27kg) per hour depending on material type.
A 2-horse-power motor rotates the shaft at 900-1000rpm through the enclosed double v-belt drive. This three-phase 50 or 60Hz motor can be set to operate on either 220V or 440V (Additional voltages are available). And the motor is totally enclosed with thermal overload protection for additional operator safety.
The grinding chamber is easily accessible for cleaning and maintenance. As well as allowing the operator to see all processed material, to be brushed into the catch pan.
Both stationary and revolving Grinding Plates are easily replaced. And the LC-53 Pulveriser includes a Gilson LCA-6 Iron Alloy Grinding Plate Set. But Gilson offers a variety of grinding plates to provide you with the best performance for your sample type (Additional grinding plates purchased separately) to make the Gilson LC-53 Bico Pulverizer the right choice for your material testing lab.
