Very difficult indeed; could not break it free. Then I put a block of wood on the exhaust manifold, careful to not lie on the glow plugs. Then put a flat type prybar under one of the lower pry tabs. I set it up so it maintained torque so I had my hands free. I heated the cover with a heat gun for probably 5-10 minutes, again set up so I didn't have to hold it. When the cover was hot I pried at a second pry tab on the bottom edge. POP
I also came over after seeing buckin video tonight haha. Definitely going to Watch some more of your videos and subscribe. I think restoring buckin truck would be good for your channel. I’ve restored lots of 67-72 Chevy trucks in Alberta. Got a 1970 I’m restoring for a guy now. Well all the sheet metal and a 1987 square body 4x4 dually pickup for myself. Going to swap a 12valve in that.
Thanks Robert, there’s no end to the work. Got a 80 Blazer waiting in the wings. Can’t beat a 12 valve, I’ve got one with around 700,000 Kms, still runs mint.
Wishing you well, Morgan, all the way from Bonnie Scotland. Blame that Buckin Billy. I have a saw in Northern Scotland that the exhaust would fit perfectly.
Great job Morgan, your videos are getting better each time. Thanks much for sharing!

Saw Morgan over on BBR and I can’t wait to see who wins that UFO pipe.
Determination and perseverance you have Morgan great video 😊Isuzu on the valve covers?😮
Yep, it’s a collaboration between GM and Isuzu.
That was ridiculous! I can think of some other engines of the past that should've used that sealant😅
I’ll say, and it wouldn’t have been very hard to make provisions for removal.
well you got there ///ya need to work on motor mouth s 4x it be easy old stuff
👍Hi great ending 🐝🌞🙃
Okay now call Isuzu and find out what that super sealant is ...never easy my friend...
