My every day carry is a Glock 42 380 with Trijicon HD XR Night Sights and a 9 round ETS magazine fitted with an XGRIP for a full three-finger grip. I load the magazine with 8 rounds maximum, plus one in the chamber, to ensure 100% reliability. Ammo of choice is Underwood Extreme Penetrator 380+P. This combination has very little recoil, is very controllable and EXTREMELY accurate! I carry it 24/7 in a pocket holster and honestly it's so light and compact that I forget it's there. The best self-defense pistol is the one you never leave home without!
Everyone Clowns on .380 ACP and .22 LR but still wont step infront of it 😂. Trust me a standard 95 grain fmj .380 will be more than enough to put someone in a new suit and casket.

I kind of agree with you if it’s in the summer and they’re wearing shorts and a T-shirt.. but really a couple layers of clothing, a thick, jean jacket, or something along those lines, and you’re gonna wish you had something with more penetration and stopping power.. just sayn
you should train the draw as well instead of having it already drawn, a quick draw from the holster is just as important as your ability to aim. and you'll notice a 3rd factor comes into play, your ability to get on target fast enough, which actually is a type of sport shooting as well.

@ML-up6io I purchased the .380 many years ago and I don’t believe there were a lot of small compact pistols at the time, but I am now considering eventually getting a compact 9mm.

Somewhat true, but "Lethality" and "Stopping power" are two different things. There is a reason no law enforcement or military use a .380
FMJ is the least of your lethality choices.

The recoil is also mitigated by the luscious fat.

It hardly has any recoil. The double spring, the polymer shock absorbing body and the small size overall make the recoil pretty non existent.
Just got one of these. To my surprise, it shoots extremely well and it's quite accurate. The first mag I shot had every round on steel at 10 yards

got the same thing as a secondary/super concealable option, it's basically a pocket pistol, can carry this little thing anywhere.
