Thank you for clarifying when a sign can be done forward or backward without changing the meaning. I find that really helpful. I truly enjoy your signing videos. 😊

I’ve seen a lot of back and forth about which way to sign “Deaf.” I know either is correct but I’ve seen some people in the Deaf community be adamant about directionality of the sign.

Can i ask - in which direction or order has been the majority's preference - if there was one?

+Jackie I have not had to do so yet but, now that you mention it, I hopefully will remember to say “Ashley told me either way is okay”. 😀

Makes a lot of sense. I recall you signed ‘deaf’ backward in a video before and forward in one. That’s definitely helpful to know because it makes for less room for error. As always, thank you so much for what you do. God bless.

Love the signs and fingerspelling of a few words to learn and practice, thank you Ashley!

I had recently been wondering about this. I felt like I had forgotten. Glad to know it doesn’t matter. Is it the same with “home” ?

I assume that ASL isn’t the exact same as BSL ?

They’re completely different actually. ASL and BSL are based off different foundations.
