This was pretty ingenious. Of course, it never would have been this cohesive when it was created, so this is still a red herring, but entertaining nonetheless. Well done. (Easily my fave Barrett track.)
In the mid-1980s I was making psychedelic albums for Midnight Records under the band name Dimentia 13 (with an "i"). I had a bootleg with this song on it, which was then not officially available. I had worked up an arrangement similar to yours for inclusion on our 3rd album. But then the Opel album was released and I thought my version would be redundant. I should have gone for it!

The name is classic girl almost a copy I picked up on the notes and harmony immediately but had to go pull the song up and it was A Classic Girl thanks for asking I had Togo and find which exactly song it was

Strange why good things seem to be short lived before greed and envy destroy them..
In lived near Vancouver Canada they had a very interesting AM radio station CKST Coast 800, later Coast 1040 Spirit of Radio. the music and bands the station played were ground breaking and cutting edge in an era of mainstream dominated by hair metal and dance pop, especially when a Seattle band Nirvana hit No 1 with Smells Like Teen Spirit. kicking off an exposion of new bands and new sounds It was an amazing era which sadly kind of ended for me with the closing of Coast 1040 in September 1993 and the suicide death of Nirvana singer Kurt Cobain 6 months later.
