Dear Colonel Diplex: I am pleased to see you on the field of battle again, and I am happy to say that I am impressed with your skill leading the troops. Stay safe, sincerely, Potato
As happy as I am to see linebattle content from you i don't know how i feel about another one of these linebattle games, its feels like each one is slightly different but none of them are as good as the mount and blade mods/DLC
So, Holdfast but set in the US Rebellion? Similar to this but in FPS is War of Rights (which I love BTW) Guessing the maps will become more detailed as the game development progresses but this is looking solid.
We actually have a bug we're fixing in the next patch where some maps (such as this one) dont have the grass and foliage visible. A quirk of UE4 unfortunately that only happens when we package the game! We have quite a few maps, including siege maps which have fortifications, maps set in towns and a fair few based on historical battles (e.g. Bunker Hill, Lexington etc.)
@@richardg8376 it's a good game engine to choose. Once popularity takes off this game will be great. Especially interested in the historic scenario maps!
We're using Unreal Engine 4 :-) game looks basic at the moment because we had no budget and only 4 guys working on it part time. With some sales income we've already started reworking some of the art to be more professional looking, but art is time consuming and expensive so we have to be realistic on what we should focus on improving.
@@silversnakeproductions3241 Certainly not in terms of graphics, no. However, for regimental play we do have a few stand-out features, the main one being the in-built regiment tool which allows you to invite players, organise events, check the event calendar and so on all from within the game itself. We do plan to improve the graphics over time though, as we appreciate that first impressions are important as well.
Hey! Thanks for recording some footage of our game :-) hope you're enjoying it, and we look forward to seeing you on our Discord. We have channels for suggestions and discussion on ways to improve the game. You may be interested to know that the training map is being significantly extended in the next patch with 2 new firing ranges. One up to 200m for individual target practice, and one up to 100m for practicing volleys. The volley range totals how much damage you can do over 5 seconds as a line. This should help you get to grips with shooting! Also, this map was bugged for some reason, there is supposed to be grass and foliage in case anyone was wondering why it looks so plain. It seems to be a quirk of UE4 that it doesn't cook the levels correctly during packaging sometimes!
CAMJO really? I joined an organized regiment that did proper line battles, I think the graphics are better in holdfast, but if you aren’t in a proper regiment it is chaos
The game needs a lot of work, it’s horrendous state it was in on day one almost killed the game but now is the time for healing and cavalry is broken not as bad as it used to be but still not ideal
Yes, we had a lot of issues with stability at launch, but we have since smoothed it out significantly. The next patch will be a big one that, among other things, will make the melee animations less jumpy (and therefore less confusing when you're trying to read your opponent). Hopefully this will bring melee closer to where we want it to be :-)
why couldn't they actually make a good revolutionary war game, use the cry engine, take after war of rights, same with holdfast, both terrible representations of the warfare of the time period depicted.
It is good to see you again on the field of battle Colonel Diplex. Good luck with the regiment!

British Patriot1815 They were german mercenaries who fought with British soldiers in the Revolutionary war.
Mehmed Barakovic did you read my comment? I know there German, but they weren’t prussian. They were from Hessen Kassel, a small Germanic state.

Diplex if you like this game, I think you would like holdfast nations at war, they are pretty similar, but ya nice vid

In comparison to mount and blade warband napoleonic wars Holdfast is just bad
@@Snooshy my friend graphics mean nothing holdfast is just trash compared to Napoleonic wars dlc for warband

The Americans said aim.
Digiquill they are playing as French soldiers.

Bruh good game
Is this better optimised than Holdfast? Getting a steady 60fps on that is nigh impossible on a full server.

Neoptolemus, I don’t want to sound like a dick about it but your game is almost dead and is currently in a state of stagnation.

Looks like mount and blade with better textures and less players.
