I have to say, even when outnumbered, this fort is a great defensive position, if u have plenty of artillery on the hill, and use melee cav and light inf to wipe out their groups in detail

The French didnt really help, they wanted to but didn't want to mess with Britain
The French did help. They fought a war with Britain in the European front which was directly caused by the American Revolution. The conflict spread throughout the major colonies that the participating empires had. While did not directly affect the American battlefield, it definitely tied up the British navy, supplies and troops in order to fight Spain, France, Netherlands etc. The French Navy also help cut off British supplies which ultimately led to the surrender of the encircled British troops. France also financially helped the Colonials. Though the land war was still won by Americans, they definitely had a lot of help.

Though they kind of fucked up themselves too. Troops deployed to the Americas came back to France and was motivated to start the revolution themselves. The cost of the war made France pretty much bankrupt and contributed to the French revolution.

How do the rockets work? They look like ladders, not something used to fire a projectile.

They put rockets on it, then light them up to go flying.
I am not really sure how they work, but yeah.
They work for the same purpose as modern MLRS. If you want historical comparison you can look at the Korean Hwacha.
The rockets they use here are called Congreve rockets and would normally be single-shot launched from a tripod holder. The ladder makes sure you can fire multiple rockets simultaneously. Remember that a rocket is self-propelled and doesn't need a canon like conventional missiles.

It's not about idiocy, if you were constantly told that 15% of the population was an Eu immigrant, and that they were killing people and enforcing their culture, or that 350 million is stolen, or that the Eu lack all forms of democracy, or that regulations are destroying the country, you'd probably want to leave.

Yes, they had to leave because they're part of the same country. Just because the majority in one region of your country didn't agree with the results of a referendum that dosen't mean you can just demand independence. Even if they do get their independence it's not like they can immediately rejoin the EU again anyways. It's a very long and very expensive process and Scotland alone won't have that kind of economy after leaving the UK, especially not after England takes back all their investments in the region. Besides, you really think the EU needs another memberstate with a failing economy to support?
