I do see one problem with their model though. I spent like $100 (I’d spend more than this buying a booster box for literally any other TCG) and played all day yesterday and today and have about all the cards I need now. I was able to pull: - All 3 interactive art cards - meta charzard deck - meta mewtwo deck - meta pikachu deck - meta dragonite deck - meta marowak deck - meta venusaur deck - meta starmie/articuno deck - about all the EX’s except Alaskam and Blastoise - a few cool full art 2 stars: Sabrina, Blain, Starmie, Marowak - I think all of the 1 star full arts I have about everything I think I’d want except for the golden cards, but I’m not going to spend several hundred dollars just for some golden cards. I would 100% spend more money, but I don’t see that much of a reason to at this point. Maybe I was lucky with my pulls. Idk. Give it a month or so though. They’ll release a whole new box and we’ll have to start all over again lol

Been watching your Star Wars videos for years now and found this game just a few days ago. I'm loving the game so far and looking forward to your videos! 👍
I downloaded tcg live because of tcg pocket. Realized the game wasn't good and then didn't touch again. But i completely intended to buy a battle pass there as well if it was good. Now I want to play the actual card game alongside this pocket version
I want everything yes its neat having everything. Edit: It is effecting the real card game I spent $700 buying the real cards and a binder with sleeves, custom sleeves and top loaders. This is huge especially if other people are doing like I did
At some point, yes. The thing is that I'm sure they will only allow to trade cards that you have multiple copies (similar to the decorations). At least you will have to have 3, so you keep a minimum of two copies. That way, people could not abuse of this option.
I pulled a fully viable articuno deck in two ten pulls, and eventually got the same for a machamp and charizard deck after spending some money, it’s generous enough that people who just want to collect can do so, and that people who want to stick to one deck can build one without too much hassle, but if you want to play them all then you have to spend, which is honestly perfect. If I was playing the physical card game I’d have to spend twenty bucks for just one deck, and that’s not even a competitive one, whereas this game allows you to get started easily, and makes new decks inexpensive. As long as they continue to improve the game and add new events this game will be super lucrative, there’s a pokemon tcg shaped hole in many hearts, that this game fills for cheap. And I get free dopamine twice a day. Am I a sucker? Absolutely, but I’m having fun so alls well
I really love this game, even you F2P you still can have meta decks. If you lucky can get all meta deck like me. Also premium pass F2P friendly too just skin playmates, coins etc In the mission just 12 hourglass yeah just 1 pack What a friendly F2P game
I'm not planning on spending money outside of the premium pass unless there's specific cosmetic packs that I want (I'm mildly tempted by the Gardevoir one). I don't have everything but I have a decent Exeggutor EX deck, a luck-based Lapras EX/Starmie EX deck, a jank Marowak EX deck, a jank Zard/Moltres/Arcanine EX deck, and a somewhat janky Pikachu EX deck. I'm close to making a few other decks viable as well (mainly 1-2 evolution pieces off outside of Mewtwo EX/Gardevoir, which I'm nowhere close to). The only things that I wish are that the gacha elements didn't feel so tough to finish things off and there was a bit more to do single-player or a decent ranked system. It's hard to finish off the hardest solo challenge missions without certain cards (especially trainers and the "good" 2-3 diamond Pokemon). I wouldn't feel so weird with the gacha system if there weren't a lot of 1-2 diamond cards that just feel really, really hard to pull.
"It's a children's card game." That aside, I'm enjoying it so far. Definitely some worthy opponents to keep me challenged. Though sometimes, I find battles too short. The original game structure uses 6-point matches, which probably would be better since it takes quite a few rounds for my deck strategies to get fueled enough to actually attack.
I'd play Pocket myself, but it feels like Pokemon's equivalent of Duel Links in comparison to vanilla Yu-Gi-Oh. Not knocking it, I just prefer the vanilla game and it's cards.
I hate how this game handholds you through an hour of mind-numbing unskippable tutorials that feel like they were written for someone who never heard of a Pokémon before or even graduated high school. It's a card game, the audience are geeks! Don't treat them like they're stupid!
I like that you’re keeping the videos for this channel short, I don’t need a 20 min video about pokemon TCg, but 8 min is perfect

They need to give more rewards other than opening two packs a day and the daily they give is just 4 hourglass.....
Or at least ways to earn rewards by playing once the step ups are cleared progression goes to nothing
You get a lot of tickets by battling daily
@@lonefire333oooh, you right! Battling is fun anyways, and I'm glad common consensus is to always give thanks lol

new channel hype
I also think Pocket will be around for a long time. I just hope they keep the design quality we're seeing in the first set up.
Love your hockey videos, was surprised to hear your voice pop on this, super surprised lol.
As long as this game not turned to become EX spam game like PTCG Live, this game doing good

If they ever decided to allow players to collect irl cards they gain from the TCG game, it could change the whole market system of Pokemon TCG

Just subbed great content!!
There is a trade function in the menus that is not yet activated. Certainly these will get traded for money.

Had no idea you were a Pokemon fan that's awesome I've been following your Eckhartsladder channel but this is definitely interesting
It took me 30 seconds to realize this was Eck. Obviously, I subbed and liked the video.
5:53 the Pokémon apps like go masters unite sleep etc they only give out rewards on anniversaries

there gonna add pikachu in premium shop and reset missions monthly
Hey Eck, would you be able to create meta deck videos for each of the types? Would find this super useful
Yes! Between our team we have a lot of the meta decks. I’ll do charizard first
No ranked mode? why?
So the free week premium is redeemable without paying?
Whattup Eck. I got into Duel and Go years back. Pocket may be next lol

Magic refugee here.
Trading is coming soon so real world trading will be very low compared to other games that have collecting aspects...
Yeah one pack a day (just to get dupes) is not enough.
the salt in his voice of having someone else pulling whatever that you wanted 🤣🤣when he said his son got 2 pika ex is too real
