    Brilliant explanation! I learnt a lot. My 88 Evo always wet sumps when I leave it over the Winter. Do you think I might fix that by replacing the two pressure release valves on the pump? Cheers from UK. Liked and subscribed.

    I've been searching YT for an explanation of the internal oil flow of a shovelhead engine. This is by far the best I've come across. All the others just show oil line routing and sometimes component install alignment. No one does the deep dive like you have. Your camera views are excellent. Straight to the point without the outlandish MTV music. Good job.

    By any chance, did you have excessive scoring on the drive & scavenge gear galleys in the oil pump? If so, please comment as this can typically affect oil pressure if those galleys have deep grooves or scoring in them...
