This video introduces shaders in Godot. Both scripted and visual shaders are covered and but the end of it you should have a decent understanding of basic shader concepts.
Thank you to the great intro to shaders! I learned you can create ColorParameter instead of float parameters for the separate r,g,b,a channels in visual shader @47:20 Likewise, in the code version, you can add the hint source_color when defining the color uniform vec4 color: source_color = vec4(1.0); Both make it easier to select a color parameter in the inspector, as you get the typical color wheel pop-up. haha, no worries, it's just a video :) And I learned that I can toggle the visibility of playlists, so it helped!
