Happy Birthday Julia! It sounds like you had an awesome day with your Mom and in addition to the fun art supplies you got you also have the happy memory of your adventure together to the art/craft store. I have a lifetime of memories with my Mom and I will cherish them even more now that she went home to be with the Lord on July 6th… she was 88 years old… she will be missed… Not sure how to transition from that… I finally took my computer to the Store for work this week although it’s been busy and I haven’t had time to do my normal accounting paperwork so I’m going in tomorrow (Friday) for a few hours to get caught up. I will enjoy having home be home again and work will be at work. I’m starting to catch up on household things that have been neglected like mowing the back lawn, putting batteries in a couple of clocks, and beginning the de-clutter process. I’ve done a few pages in my YCS 8x8 journal and actually got out my Art by Marlene stuff this weekend and reviewed it to pick and choose what to play with. I opted to use some of her wonky tags and started the backgrounds on some of them using her watercolors and her paints…hoping to play with them again soon. We’re having a family get together this weekend with our cousins from Mom’s side of the family which is always fun… but… no time for art play… but… time for CARDS… we usually play Euchre- tournament style. Last year, my cousin Patty and I were partners - we lost big time but had a lot of laughs! Back to art supplies… you got a lovely variety of items that I’m sure will bring you hours & hours of fun… I’ll look forward to seeing your creations! I’m excited about the resin & molds… I’ve gotten a handful of them also with the supplies (resin & clay) but have not tried doing it yet so this will be a fun experience for us. I really like the Vintage Library collection - mostly because of all those wonderful books… I don’t really do fantasy well so I passed on the Magical Forest collection… although… in the past, I couldn’t resist some of Lavinia Stamps products. I do like some of the Steam Punk stuff and have the Lady Vagabond collection and a couple older collections that are grungy but like most of my Stamperia collections - I collect them but don’t use them! LOL … My newest collection was the Sunflower Art collection and I’m in the process of getting Blue Dreams… I had been exceptionally good limiting my spending in 2023 but fell off the buying wagon in June - probably stress purchases - so I need to think twice (or 3 or even 4) times before acquiring more items that I may or may not use although I will have more time to play now… I still want to play with some of the 49 & Market collections… maybe I need to make some cards… hhhmmm… Take care Julia - It’s always a joy to hear your voice and learn what you’ve been up to and see what you’ve been working on! Hello my friend ♥️ First of all, let me give you my heartfelt empathy, for loosing your mother ♥️ I can only imagine how that shake ones foundation in life and the sorrow you must feel ♥️ know that you are in my thoughts and prayres ♥️🙏 Yes, just as you wrote we had that (shoping) day together. In my family we often have the best time when we are on the road in a car. I often feel like a burden (even though I know Im not) with my wheelchair that limits me I love the time we spend in the car free to talk about anything and stop for a meal when we feel like it 😊 I will cherish that memory. I am unsure whether I will use the stamperia products or hoard them 😅 I started my Stamperia collection to get new ideas and perhaps create quicker projects. I have'nt made many videos but I have been shoping. I hope you had a great weekend with your family, it sounds like so much fun 🥳 Cards is a great way to create when time and creativity is low but you need that crafty "fix". My plan is to create more cards but I will go where the ideas take me 😊 Its frustrating to wait for new products to reach Sweden but it gives me time to think twice, or three/four, times before I buy. At the moment I am waiting on the new Etcetera and Distress Glazes. I was soo happy to find the Tim Holtz Stamptember 2022 set on second hand 🥳 I love all his sets from Stamptember but the shipping is so crazy that I don't end up ordering so finding it in Sweden was a happy moment. As In writing this I am about to post an Art By Marlene video, I just wish I could see what you made while playing 🎨 do you enjoy her watercolors? I hope to know your opinion on them when you use them because its always a delay before crafty products reach Sweden. I allredy bought the Etcetera Facades and have ideas...😊 I am also waiting for the new distress glazes to reach Sweden.
