Rufus is incredibly “goofy” not to mention gorgeous. My favorite character. The Lord Melbourne/Victoria dynamic was something to behold. Lord M, a great many years Victoria’s senior, always held the line and maintained a healthy deference with respect to Victoria’s rank and station in life.

Rufus Sewell is simply mesmerizing on screen whether it's as Zen or LORD MELBOURNE or OGF John Smith...He smoulders. OMG #VICBOURNE obsession!

Duty is the ONLY thing that prevented him from marrying Victoria.

You should see that episode again, because before she confess him she has feellings for him she is telling... "At the beginnig I thougt you are the father I've never had, but now, I feel, I know you are the only companion that I want" or something like that. And let's see, maybe in season 3 Lord M is back, Goodwin in a recent interviw said something like "Lord M is not officially dead".
