Teaming up with the great Liam the Terrible..what could possibly go wrong? He will definitely do you right and give you a space to be proud of. I was recently thinking this van life malarkey was getting a bit stagnant with everyone doing the same as everyone else but this project has definitely reinvigorated my interest and with the legend that is Mr Terrible putting his two peneth worth into it this will be awesome viewing. You’ve both got balls of steel taking on this project, good luck, may it make your journey that bit more exciting. Looking forward to both vlogs.
I'd be concerned in high winds and icy conditioms, but you could just park up for a few days in those circumstances and the benefits outweigh the negatives.
That’s not a van it’s a lorry. I’m sure it will be good when it’s done but it will cost a lot more in fuel and there’ll be some places you can’t go or park easily. At least you’ll have a longer bed though.
I think it's a very brave choice, however I'm sure Liam the Terrible will create an amazing space for you, I think you need to lose the signage it's more risky for break in as potential thief's may think its a loaded van with thousands of £££ furniture inside. Other than that it's a Luton, and I've driven many Luton, easy to drive and you will soon get used to bigger size, plus you will have room for bikes, so if parked up somewhere and you want to explore you will have more options. Loving the channel and L the T of course, watching you both with excitement can't wait to see the finished build, good luck all 😁😁😁😁
I would suggest not putting the bed in the top part of the cab it will feel claustrophobic after a few nights sleep and it’s difficult to make the bed ! use it as storage space / a wardrobe / a pantry / work space even a carpeted beam bag tv area . if you have the money Get an electric bed that raises up and down . It can be as big as you want and gets out of the way . I would run your kitchen across either side near the rear end as you have no windows and the back doors will be you best ventilation spot . Possibly add 1 skylight in the roof for some added natural light . Lastly I would keep the signage on the van way more stealth looking and will save you money . You can always change it later down the line . Can’t wait to see what you do with this build !
There are a lot of tall people who live in vans, Will of wills whereabouts had the same problem ,he is six foot two and wanted to sleep across the van so he bought a fiat ducato, there are several vans that are wider and high enough to accommodate tall people , yet still be a regular van with sliding side doors allowing easy access without needing ladders. Janine was right to be nervous, you cannot stealth camp in something that big and this different from the crowd, you will become known as the furniture removal people. In campervan gatherings there are a lot of similar vans that blend into the group. then there are a small group of odd stand -out vans, that are so different they define their owners, for better or worse,, you are joining that odd group. Watching your video I was preying Janine's common sense would prevail, and my heart sank when you sealed the deal. There is a reason people don't normally buy ex-furniture vans to turn into camper vans, they are not suitable. Your viewers share your life's the ups and downs of your adventure, and we are all rooting for you, so I hate to be negative, especially viewing all the positive comments, but you have allowed a small fixable problem to cloud your better judgement. Living in a van is different enough, you are not Ivan the Terrible ,or the tattoo man, or the monster truck guy, you are a nice vegan couple who happen to live in a van, you don't have to scream at everyone look at me. Is it already too late to change tack and put on your sensible hat.
Hi guys, congratulations on the van. Can I suggest before you start that you weigh the van......take that net weight away from 3500kg which is the GVW. It will let you know how much weight you have left for your build. Use your materials wisely. Good Luck .
essentail keep it all lightweight, i did a 307 box van and used 12mm ply everywhere, walls , ceiling and it added so much weight , skylights above cooker . levelling a box van was always an issue for me , need propping when parked as they rock like a ship on windy days , id skip the idillyic wood burner , messy, smelly and not on offable, prob spend less money on a 2kw diesel gererator to run your heating
P.s. to help Janine overcome fear of driving a big van, could you take some driving lessons in the van who will teach, reversing, parking etc. You never know when you may need to share the driving if there is an emergency, sickness etc.
I think that strengthening the roof would be awesome, imagine sitting eating sandwiches on your roof on a seafront somewhere in the summer, or just relaxing on your roof on a beautiful summer starry night, somewhere peaceful and private, or even just installing solar panels, the possibilities are endless for you. I absolutely love your channel and wish nothing but luck, love and happiness for you both
Remove sign writing, if possible can you put a door on side? Windows to be added and skylight also. So many options available to you both. I look forward to following progress
As a 65 yr old, I say do what is your passion and what makes you happy! I have spent far too much time in the past thinking of the pros and cons of things, to a point that no decision is made either way. If it turns out wrong for you, then you can change it and it will be perfect for someone else. I instantly thought of all the cupboard space that van provides! Your wife may need a little step stool, but if the cupboards are tall you can store less used items, or off season things on the top part of the shelves. Our dream is to sell our house here in Ontario Canada , buy a smaller house and buy an Ascent TS or Lexor TS Pleasureway van from Saskatchewan, Canada.
Wishing you both lots of joy and happiness in all that you do, if you don't follow your dream you've got nothing to look forward to. God bless 🙏 from the UK 🇬🇧
Skylight window above the bed 100%. Onboard toilet/shower, then just units where possible and tables that can turn into seats. (or extra bed for those times you argue and want space, or have a friend tag along) The doors of the van (on the side) would be perfect for a projection screen, can use a short throw projector to project on it. I would also add that door from cab>back if possible will be amazing in heavy rain! Think about getting soaked, wet and then having to run out and around to get into the back. Dirty the floor and everything thats no fun. Oh and for the outside of the van change the signage to something really undesirable just a totally fake business such as mobile fish monger or something.
A wood burner is a good idea and you don't get the condensation problems, but keep a diesel heater as well for those city park ups where you don't want to be sending up smoke signals! I am really enjoying your videos, I love the way you deal with the problems that arise, it's a big learning curve and I think your doing great. Good luck with this new big van adventure.
That's a brilliant place to put your bed. I think you have done a brilliant thing. I would def invest in more solar panels and a shower/toilet part xx and yippie York it's a beautiful placexxx
I've no clue haha sorry I'm just a watcher but I see loads with multiply solar panels. Also can you get your wood heater I've everything crossed for you both xxx
Congrats on the purchase! Regarding the sign-writing, I’ve never heard of a removals van getting broken into. If I saw one parked at the side of the road I would assume it’s empty. Definitely add access between the cab and the rear, there’s really no reason not to (bar cost/effort) and the benefits are huge. Also, well done on getting on trending!
Good luck guys, I think it’s going to be a fabulous! I would set up a bench seat/sofa below the bed - great for storage and a useful step-up to the raised bed.
@@ThoseHappyDays When you've finally got the new van sorted... Please be mindful that high sided vehicles don't like strong winds... Personally i would have access from the cab to the box section... I'm really looking forward to seeing the finished project... Hope everything runs smoothly guys... Cheers. 👍
Great choice Liam . This build will solve your sleep problem and you have a new BIGGER layout. . Wait till you get to sleep in your new bed. . And Mr Terrible will look after you. . He a good guy and lives it . . Enjoy new van cos its best thing u did x
Congratulations on the new van! You will figure things out as you go along and Liam The Terrible will do a great job converting I’m sure. Can’t wait to see the van when it’s complete. I’ll be subscribing to LTT’s channel to keep up to date with the build!
I'm 6ft 4 and know too well about the issue with the bed length in a camper. Glad you have made a decision to go this way, it's totally going to be worth it! That stretch to align your back, extend your legs is just so nice when you feel fidgety at night and OMG the frustration of a bed being too short so you can't... Good luck with it all!!!
No regrets about taking risks , some work some don’t , but without taking them you’ll never know what could have been . Well done it’s not always easy taking the jump . For me sitting in my nice warm home watching your travels this was a no brainier. Liam is going to build you a lovely van for you both to make lots more wonderful memories and take some super adventures of which I can’t wait to see . I would paint the van in a theme of your lifestyle.
Guys this will make a huge difference to you enjoying your travels. Definitely get a walk through from the cab into the main area, essential for safety, also get rid of the signage. Love the dark green colour, good luck guys.
Suggest you go and look at some camper vans / motorhomes and get ideas. Show on at Birmingham NEC end of Feb - also showrooms. I'd cover the outside as you will be easily identified. I think you can get wraps - like the trucks do? Good luck with it.
Repaint the outside - make it personal to the two of you. Maybe even add some signage advertising your RUclips channel. You’d probably attract more subscribers and people stopping by to say hello (unless that would be intrusive?). Good luck. You are both very brave. PS And cut some horizontal windows - they would be too high for anyone to look in but easy for you to see out of, given the raised floor position.
Ahh, things are looking up! The new van looks great! If you’re ever near Essex, give us a shout. You can always park up in our drive/car port and I’ll run you a hot salt bubble bath and make you some tea and you can use the washing machine and tumble dryer! Xxx
Driving licence ....I think you need to keep an eye out for the finished weight and how it affects driving licence categories. B licence takes you up to 3.5 tonnes after that you will need C1
Great van ,, are you getting rid of the rear doors and having a caravan style side door … or building a frame where the rear doors are and having a caravan style door/stable door at the rear 😊😊 .
If Liam is doing it it's going to be awesome 😎 We drive a motorhome with an overcab bed so pretty tall, just have your measurements on your sun visors then if you come across a sign or bridge you will know if you will fit 🙂
A while ago I saw a box truck conversion on you tube where the owner had put a glazed wall with door a few feet in from the van’s back doors. This created a porch / garage area to put sports equipment and keep the main area of the van cleaner. She had a small deck to sit out on. She was stealthy when the doors were closed, or when she had a nice view she opened the vans back doors and enjoyed the view from inside. I also think she may have had windows in the roof - more natural light, nice sky views and because the van was so tall it didn’t affect the stealthiness very much. I can’t find the video, but if you’re interested I’ll keep searching. Also I’d advise you to think of head height where you’re going to put the bed. If you want to watch TV in bed then you’d need to be able to sit up. If it’s not tall enough to allow that then you’ll need another seating area somewhere else. (I’ve just sold a motorhome because the drop down bed didn’t allow me to sit up in bed) Best of luck with it all. Can’t wait to see it when it’s done.
HELL yes great news it will be great Liam working his magic ! He’s is one of the names in van life & seems such a nice guy go Liam work your magic !!!!!!!!!
I think you should do a walk through for safety & security if nothing else ! As for the out side 🤔 I’d paint it in Raptor pain it can just role on ! How about also raining the floor for under floor storage especially emergency food supplies
Reversing camera with cctv as there not having windows at least they can see outside then , planned a Luton van build once so still got my ideas 💡 can’t wait to see this with such low mileage this should last a long time
Nice upgrade, maybe with the height you could raise the floor for under floor storage, maybe extra water ,grey water, deisel tank for your heater and extra clothes storage. It's endless what you could do. Can't wait to see it converted.keep up the great work and travel safe. Cheers.
Do it..believe me you will be much happier..sat navs now have height warnings and will redirect u from low bridges etc..can do a lot with that sort of setup u have there..most importantly your back and sleep deprived nights will be over..I think you’ve made a good move 👍✌️
Yes to walk through into cab! Yes to leave signage, it looks super cool. Yes to wood burner, there are so many great ones now that give out such beautiful heat and romantic. I look forward to next Sunday morning to see what you both have got up to this week.
The quote at the beginning of your video really struck a nerve, taking risks is what creates memories and experiences...wishing you all the luck with the build and your continued adventures....lemon balm and chamomile tea for the anxiety....and Janine I am sure you can do anything you put your mind too...just get the keys to frida.. and give it a go...much ❤
I loved this video, after self building three Luton’s myself, two 3.5 tons and now a 7.5 ton, I got to live out the familiar excitement of buying and beginning to plan out all that lovely space with you guys. I’m really looking forward to watching the next few videos and seeing how the build progresses. Obviously I already know what the end result looks like because I’m watching these videos on rewind. I didn’t realise when I started watching your videos that Morgan the Luton was such a new home for you. I’m nearly all caught up now.
Hi,as it's a tall van and you drive down country roads a lot I would put some form of plate on the corners of the luton just to prevent tree damage and possible water leaks .Also if you want to enter the back from the cab you will have to almost crawl thru any opening you make because the bed is above the cab and it's in two separate parts cab/body .
How exciting! We made an impulse buy last summer; went out one Saturday 'for a look' at vans, and bought one that same day. Looking forward to seeing the transformation of your new home. All good wishes to you both :)
As Lism is fully on the case, then. You are sure to have a brilliant result.. ....Walk through is a must ,I would have thought, as an easy get away from any location,as a security must....a big van. But only 7 ft wide Is really good ,
Wow you packed a lot into that episode and it was so well made. We could feel the pressure of making that huge decision but as you said you have one life and you must live it. Give up the doubts now and make it work. We have no experience of building out any van but with a clean sheet on the inside there are a couple of things I would want to make sure were covered. The first is preventing condensation forming on the underside of the bed area. Hopefully there will be a way to ensure air flow under your mattress to kill that issue once and for all. Big van, room for guests and socialising so I hope we get to see inside this year 😁👍 The one thing I don’t like about our little van is that there is no warm air flow through our cupboards and especially the battery area. We have lithium and it’s amazing but as the temperature drops below freezing keeping the battery warm enough to charge becomes an issue. At some point you will be switching to lithium for sure. If I had a big van like yours I would ensure I could keep the electrics and batteries warm when I needed to. If you have ever seen Foresty Forest channel he always has his electrics sharing the living space. He also has a Ninja Foodie in the van and I would love to have one of those as they are brilliant. I think I would keep the graphics on the van as it would provide excellent stealth. Removal vans travel the entire country and I think most people would think that when they are on a job they sleep in the van. Putting windows in might make that not practical though. I don’t remember removal vans being a target for theft when I was in the job. You would be very easy to spot by your viewers so perhaps take that into consideration as well. Not sure of the legality of keeping the logos either ? It might cause difficulties for the company with them getting phone calls about where you parked ? A door from the cab to the back is going to be a challenge. It would have to be really well weather sealed to avoid water ingress into the van or cab. If it can be done then it would be brilliant to be able to access the cab without having to get out from both a stealth, convenience and security standpoint. Those large rear doors need space to open so it’s not always going to be possible to open them for access to the back when your parked up against other vehicles, walls and trees. It will be interesting to see if you keep them or build a rear wall. A decent insulated side door away from the traffic will be needed for when you park in tight spaces. Thinking of that designing things to give the option to put a second door on the offside would be useful for when you take the van abroad. Give some thought to how you will get into the van if you have hurt yourself. That includes the bed. Janine will be worried about driving it for sure but it’s pretty important that she can because if anything happens to Liam out on a walk it could be a real problem. When the time comes find a wide open space and practice practice practice. Remember it will be far more susceptible to high cross winds than your current van. You will feel daunted for sure but Rome was not built in a day and all problems can be overcome with time and thought. Take your time to think things through. One thing is for sure, this new van project will do no harm at all to your channel and we will certainly be subscribing to Liam and watching the build. Stay safe.
Looks a lovely paint finish. So would be a great novelty to keep it as a feature. And wonderful stealth factor..brilliant thought of yours.....keep it a real eye-catcher ,,get the full benefits, and luck it could bring you both...fantastic..Good luck to you both JIM'N'SUE
Hi!! Liam and Janine! I just found your channel just this past Friday. I think you guys should try and buy a Jackery...it's a generator with an endless supply of power. It's popular over here in the US with Vanlifers. It might help you. That way you all can plug in a heater if you want without using your diesel heater. Also, check out some RUclips videos of Van/Trucklifers here in the US, people here convert school busses, ambulance to live in. That might be inspiring. Also, see about getting cameras and floodlights installed, with apps that can go on your phone, for added security. I love your videos and the love, respect, kindness that you show each other in your videos. As someone who would love to travel to the UK, but can't at the moment its great seeing you guys homeland!! Thank you so much! 💓
Excellent choice. With the internal height being so tall, workout what height you need then consider putting in a false floor so you have extra storage inside the van.
Decision made & now the exciting bit! Planning!! Personally the ability to get through to the back is very important for security…you can take of quickly if you need to. Such a big space … bed up top makes so much sense… think some windows are essential…Sure liam will have lots of fab solutions… looking forward to following!! xx
We were going to do an Adventure Van build ourselves here in Wyoming. But I’m 6’2” tall and I can’t sleep sideways in a van. And I didn’t want the longer van to sleep front to back. So we bought a new Ram 3/4 ton truck and put a slide in truck camper in with queen size bed, bath room with shower and on demand hot water, flush toilet, kitchen with microwave, stove top and fridge, and sofa. Lots of cabinet space. And an AC and propane heater. We needed a 4 wheel drive since we live in the mountains and have lots of snow in winter. I can slide the camper in the truck bed and have a camper. I can slide it out and have my pickup truck. It was a good choice for us. Looking forward to seeing the finished build. 😎👍
This is exciting and the start of a new chapter. I understand your anxiety about driving a bigger vehicle Janine, you will totally smash it (in a good way!). I hope you get a wood burner in that monster truck, and decent kitchen area so you can share more of your delicious recipes. Life is short, grab it and run.
All the best of luck with the rebuild. I we fully understand your problem with your beloved Frida. We are looking forward to when you move into the new van. Greetings from Denmark (California owners)
This is exciting and nerving . but looking at Liam in what he does for a living he looks confident to do it. I will be watching the progress. Good luck guys im loving this journey your doing. Love you both ❤️❤️
Hi and big congratulations to the both of you on purchasing your new home. Can't wait to see next weeks video. I will follow Liam the terrible to see the build progress. Big question.... why don't you have the possibility for us your viewers to be able to buy you a coffee etc.. .I'm sure that you could use the help financially and equally your viewers will I'm sure do that for you. Good luck with everything and stay positive
Guys if you keep the ticket for the viking museum you can reuse it for free entry for 1 year from inital visit. If you get chance call to selby just down the road fro York, plenty of places to park up, lots of lovely cafes. X
We, who follow you, will be on the look out for Morgan’s Removals vans! The curtains will be twitching up and down the country - we’ll be looking to see what comes out- furniture or people!! In time you may prefer to paint over the signs!
Amazing leap!! You may need a small car and a semi permanent park up. The big lorries the others have they cant get into a lot of car parks or under bridges. Nipping to tesco is not just a simple trip in a lorry. Also the coat of fuel restricts their ability to move around as freely so they tend to have semi permanent park ups and plan adventures rather than roam constantly however this does also make it easier to pick up work as you are in one area for specific amounts of time. Good luck!!! Blessings from the Angel's xxx
@@wendyjones3953 eco friendly top 👍👍😊😊 Good advice xxx❤❤😘😘 I forgot to say with the larger lorries you have to avoid open park ups because of the wind 😊😊 You get blown about xxx
I don’t have any suggestions, however I’ve just watched the video and think it’s a bloody fantastic idea. Can’t wait to see the progression and build by Liam The Terrible. Love your channel. Hopefully see you on the road sometime. 👍
Soooo pleased for you both. Bigger is better! Wood burner, hooray! It's been agonising watching you guys struggle so I'm really, really chuffed you guys took the leap. Can't wait to see her out and about! =D
Hey Janine & Liam...fab vlog, thank you. As for the Bulkhead divider, I would definitely vote for having a walkthrough and a curtain. Otherwise very excited for your project. All the best for the weeks and months ahead!! With regards to the exterior print...Those Happy Days...of course!!! The dimensions of your van, should be printed and hung to your sun visor...therefore, never be an issue when motoring through low bridges or narrow roads...
As im sure you are already aware, living in a van is very different from a weeks holiday. Manufacturers of camper vans/motorhomes try to pack a house into a van because its assumed to only be used a few weekends or a couple of weeks at a time, a bad way to go for a full time vanlifers build. Comfort and Space continues to be my priority in my van. Ive lived in it full time for 3 years so far, making changes along the way and about to make more. very best of luck guys and I cant wait to see the progress.
Thanks guys, gutted to be giving up the transit as it has been such a good home and probably would have continued to be had the sleep not been an issue 💚
Sick video guys and loving the new van! Funny to see you're in my hometown of Honiton, there are some awesome wild camp spots in East Devon so would highly recommend checking some out. Can't wait to see the journey ahead ,, I'm sure you guys will smash the conversion , much love!
You could always extend the rear walls out. Cut a hole on the outside panels like you would do a window, rivet shallow plastic tray to cover the outside hole, fiberglass over the whole thing, add a bit of body filler and paint and your good to go.
Sorry to see Frieda going, but it will be good for you Liam and getting rest. Can’t wait to see how it comes along, enjoy Frieda adventures in the mean time. Best of luck and best wishes to you both
It’s going to be like living in a mansion 😀. Great idea with the heating, hopefully no damp area’s. Looks like everyone is going bigger in the van life community ❤️
Guys I'm SO EXCITED FOR YOU BOTH personally I'd get rid of the writing on the side as as you said Liam people might think there's valuable stuff kept in there and Tey and break in while your asleep can't wait to see next week's video
I dont do vanlife but I would get rid of the sign off the van to prevent opportunist thieves thinking they could steal a lot of things that are being moved. and I would try to put a walkway through from the cab to the back, it would be better so in freezing weather you dont have to get out of the van if you dont need to. Good luck in all you do xx
Exciting to have a new van! I'm so worried you'd end up locked in the back while someone nicked the van, please do a walkthrough! 💚 absolutely buzzing for Liam to get a full night's sleep though and a new van build is very exciting!
AWESOME!!!-- I would keep the signage for stealth, but would add a window or two, which might defeat the purpose, lol. If it were me, I would DEFINITELY add a bathroom...you've got the space. Yes...a wood stove would be a fantastic addition. S9 much space, so many ideas :-)
Definitely go for access through the cab as at the moment you can only secure the rear doors from outside unless your going to change them in some way good luck sleep is so important
I personally would leave the cab separate, build a storage cupboard to use as a plinth to extend the bed and you could incorporate a ladder into that also, best of luck with your build cant wait to see the progress.

Wow some great suggestions, thank you. Will chat to janine about it now 💚
Great suggestions here.
I agree might be a bit claustrophobic up there. Can you borrow /rent one (if that's even possible?) and see how other people have fitted theirs out?
There are a lot of tall people who live in vans, Will of wills whereabouts had the same problem ,he is six foot two and wanted to sleep across the van so he bought a fiat ducato, there are several vans that are wider and high enough to accommodate tall people , yet still be a regular van with sliding side doors allowing easy access without needing ladders. Good choice, you definitely need to create an access through to the cab, with a flexible rubber seal like on a train carriage.
Good shout thank you
I thought this because it seems like the separated cab and back would experience slightly different tension forces going over bumps etc
I agree it has to be something flexible , the back body and front cab on these do have an amount of chassis flex between the 2 .
yes you have a walkway from the cab to the back using a concertina gasket to water proof the connection
That sounds spot on
Hi guys, congratulations on the van. Can I suggest before you start that you weigh the van......take that net weight away from 3500kg which is the GVW. It will let you know how much weight you have left for your build. Use your materials wisely. Good Luck .
I second this. I think most campers are overloaded, and according to the dvsa, 80% of motorhomes weighed are

Love that idea 💡
Remove sign writing, if possible can you put a door on side? Windows to be added and skylight also. So many options available to you both. I look forward to following progress
You should 100% put a door in the cab so if you get in to trouble you can just get straight in the cab and drive
Yeah it makes sense 💚
Good points 💚 and important to follow your heart ❤️
Wishing you both lots of joy and happiness in all that you do, if you don't follow your dream you've got nothing to look forward to.
God bless 🙏 from the UK 🇬🇧
I love the sign writing and I would leave it on until you get fed up with it and paint at a later stage if needed.
Yeah love all those ideas 💡
A wood burner is a good idea and you don't get the condensation problems, but keep a diesel heater as well for those city park ups where you don't want to be sending up smoke signals!
I am really enjoying your videos, I love the way you deal with the problems that arise, it's a big learning curve and I think your doing great.
Good luck with this new big van adventure.
That's a brilliant place to put your bed. I think you have done a brilliant thing. I would def invest in more solar panels and a shower/toilet part xx and yippie York it's a beautiful placexxx
We had a 160w solar on this van, what shall we get next?
I've no clue haha sorry I'm just a watcher but I see loads with multiply solar panels. Also can you get your wood heater I've everything crossed for you both xxx
Congrats on the purchase! Regarding the sign-writing, I’ve never heard of a removals van getting broken into. If I saw one parked at the side of the road I would assume it’s empty.
Definitely add access between the cab and the rear, there’s really no reason not to (bar cost/effort) and the benefits are huge.
Also, well done on getting on trending!
I’m just so happy I get to watch you yeah new van new memories be safe🥰🥰🥰🥰
Good luck guys, I think it’s going to be a fabulous! I would set up a bench seat/sofa below the bed - great for storage and a useful step-up to the raised bed.
Great idea 💚🙏
WOW!!! Can't wait to see your revised dream come to fruition! YAY You for taking the plunge.
Thank you Julie 💚
@@ThoseHappyDays It will all work out in the end!
Shower room 100%,makes life so much more comfortable 😃
Good shout 👏
Absolutely agree
@@ThoseHappyDays When you've finally got the new van sorted... Please be mindful that high sided vehicles don't like strong winds... Personally i would have access from the cab to the box section... I'm really looking forward to seeing the finished project... Hope everything runs smoothly guys... Cheers. 👍
Great choice Liam . This build will solve your sleep problem and you have a new BIGGER layout. . Wait till you get to sleep in your new bed. . And Mr Terrible will look after you. . He a good guy and lives it . . Enjoy new van cos its best thing u did x
Yeah he's a good un, thank you 😊
This is an exciting journey, i really cant wait to see the progress. Love Liam the Terribles work too. Such a genuine guy. Xx
Thank you 💚
Thinking of your new van you could always get a pull ladder step like the ones they fit on commercial trucks so they can access the back of the trucks
Congratulations on the new van! You will figure things out as you go along and Liam The Terrible will do a great job converting I’m sure. Can’t wait to see the van when it’s complete. I’ll be subscribing to LTT’s channel to keep up to date with the build!
Happy Days 🎊
Cheers Paul 💚
What an exciting project. And now I will have two vlogs to follow! Wishing you all the best with this.
Guys this will make a huge difference to you enjoying your travels. Definitely get a walk through from the cab into the main area, essential for safety, also get rid of the signage. Love the dark green colour, good luck guys.
Brilliant start to a whole new adventure which will you both sleeping well. Can’t wait to see Liam work his magic xx
Liam should change his name to..........I van the terrible.....
Suggest you go and look at some camper vans / motorhomes and get ideas. Show on at Birmingham NEC end of Feb - also showrooms. I'd cover the outside as you will be easily identified. I think you can get wraps - like the trucks do? Good luck with it.
Good shout, you recommend that Nec show?
It's beautiful, can't wait to see it finished. You made the right decision, good luck xx
Thanks Caroline 💚
Well deserved purchase. Good luck with the build. 🧡🇬🇧🧡
Xxx
Thanks so much, that's very kind 😊
Driving licence ....I think you need to keep an eye out for the finished weight and how it affects driving licence categories. B licence takes you up to 3.5 tonnes after that you will need C1
Good shout and you are right
Really happy for all of us. Good luck. Looking forward to seeing it. 👍
👍🚐
Great van ,, are you getting rid of the rear doors and having a caravan style side door … or building a frame where the rear doors are and having a caravan style door/stable door at the rear 😊😊 .
Ooo love that, will discuss
Windows and max fan in sleeping area. Max fan above stove. Remove signage, with a wood burner there is no stealth. Love it!
Thanks Debra, someone pointed out that we are so tall that the wood burner won't be seen
If Liam is doing it it's going to be awesome 😎
We drive a motorhome with an overcab bed so pretty tall, just have your measurements on your sun visors then if you come across a sign or bridge you will know if you will fit 🙂
(I’ve just sold a motorhome because the drop down bed didn’t allow me to sit up in bed)
Best of luck with it all. Can’t wait to see it when it’s done.
Good shout! Although I thought we might keep the bed as purely a bedroom, and now have a living area 💚
HELL yes great news it will be great Liam working his magic !
He’s is one of the names in van life & seems such a nice guy go Liam work your magic !!!!!!!!!
Thank you, he's a legend, we are so lucky to have him on board ❤️
Cheers.
Thanks Mark 👍
Do it..believe me you will be much happier..sat navs now have height warnings and will redirect u from low bridges etc..can do a lot with that sort of setup u have there..most importantly your back and sleep deprived nights will be over..I think you’ve made a good move 👍✌️
Really appreciate that David 🙏
Yes to walk through into cab!
Yes to leave signage, it looks super cool.
Yes to wood burner, there are so many great ones now that give out such beautiful heat and romantic.
I look forward to next Sunday morning to see what you both have got up to this week.
Thank you Betty 💚
The quote at the beginning of your video really struck a nerve, taking risks is what creates memories and experiences...wishing you all the luck with the build and your continued adventures....lemon balm and chamomile tea for the anxiety....and Janine I am sure you can do anything you put your mind too...just get the keys to frida.. and give it a go...much ❤
Thank you Becky, appreciate that 🙏
I loved this video, after self building three Luton’s myself, two 3.5 tons and now a 7.5 ton, I got to live out the familiar excitement of buying and beginning to plan out all that lovely space with you guys. I’m really looking forward to watching the next few videos and seeing how the build progresses. Obviously I already know what the end result looks like because I’m watching these videos on rewind. I didn’t realise when I started watching your videos that Morgan the Luton was such a new home for you. I’m nearly all caught up now.
Awesome!!!! What a change up, I did not expect that! Looking forward to seeing the updates.
Thanks Chris 💚
Hi,as it's a tall van and you drive down country roads a lot I would put some form of plate on the corners of the luton just to prevent tree damage and possible water leaks .Also if you want to enter the back from the cab you will have to almost crawl thru any opening you make because the bed is above the cab and it's in two separate parts cab/body .
Thanks Ron, duly noted ✅️
How exciting! We made an impulse buy last summer; went out one Saturday 'for a look' at vans, and bought one that same day. Looking forward to seeing the transformation of your new home. All good wishes to you both :)
It has to be done doesn't it 🚐🤙
As Lism is fully on the case, then. You are sure to have a brilliant result..
....Walk through is a must ,I would have thought, as an easy get away from any location,as a security must....a big van. But only 7 ft wide
Is really good ,
Wow you packed a lot into that episode and it was so well made.
Big van, room for guests and socialising so I hope we get to see inside this year 😁👍
The one thing I don’t like about our little van is that there is no warm air flow through our cupboards and especially the battery area.
Stay safe.
Hi Ken and Carol!
Exciting, can't wait to see how the new van build evolves. 💚
Thank you, loved hearing all your suggestions ❤️
Excellent choice. With the internal height being so tall, workout what height you need then consider putting in a false floor so you have extra storage inside the van.
Oooo that's amazing idea
@@ThoseHappyDays That was my plan before I went for a motorhome.
Do you have an email address I can contact you guys on..? I may have something you can use in the new build
This was so much fun guys lol what a huge van what a bed you will get Liam Janine will have a fab kitchen to cook in and a log burner wow 🤩 very cosy
Very exciting. Can't wait to see progress and what decisions you make
Thanks Mum 💚
Decision made & now the exciting bit! Planning!! Personally the ability to get through to the back is very important for security…you can take of quickly if you need to.
Such a big space … bed up top makes so much sense… think some windows are essential…Sure liam will have lots of fab solutions… looking forward to following!! xx
Wow that's a cool van my only suggestions for the build are good insulation and be happy x
Great suggestions 💚
How good of you Liam, to take this on for them ! What a good man you are! I'm excited to see what you come up with!
He's a legend...think he's looking forward to the project 💚
This is exciting and the start of a new chapter. I understand your anxiety about driving a bigger vehicle Janine, you will totally smash it (in a good way!). I hope you get a wood burner in that monster truck, and decent kitchen area so you can share more of your delicious recipes. Life is short, grab it and run.
Love the new van, so exciting! Can't wait to see it finished!
Thanks Clare 💚
All the best of luck with the rebuild.
I we fully understand your problem with your beloved Frida. We are looking forward to when you move into the new van.
Greetings from Denmark (California owners)
Love a california - jealous 😍
Really looking forward to see the finished product. 👍

Excited to watch your next part of your journey. This will be so much better for you both Space Yippy
🙏💚
This is exciting and nerving . but looking at Liam in what he does for a living he looks confident to do it. I will be watching the progress. Good luck guys im loving this journey your doing. Love you both ❤️❤️
Thank you Paulette 💚
Ooooh I can't wait to see what you come up with. It will be beautiful when you are done and you will enjoy the extra room I'm sure! Good Luck!
We should set something like this up, we just feel bad asking for such things 💚
@@ThoseHappyDays don't feel bad about it, you entertain us all and I for one, love following your adventures .
So please do it
Guys if you keep the ticket for the viking museum you can reuse it for free entry for 1 year from inital visit. If you get chance call to selby just down the road fro York, plenty of places to park up, lots of lovely cafes. X
Ooo great tip as we seem to always be close by 💚
Wicked my 2 favourite van lifers in collaboration, looking so forward to this good luck, Liam the terrible is a legend x

We, who follow you, will be on the look out for Morgan’s Removals vans! The curtains will be twitching up and down the country - we’ll be looking to see what comes out- furniture or people!! In time you may prefer to paint over the signs!
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Amazing leap!!
You may need a small car and a semi permanent park up.
The big lorries the others have they cant get into a lot of car parks or under bridges.
Nipping to tesco is not just a simple trip in a lorry.
Also the coat of fuel restricts their ability to move around as freely so they tend to have semi permanent park ups and plan adventures rather than roam constantly however this does also make it easier to pick up work as you are in one area for specific amounts of time.
Good luck!!!
Blessings from the Angel's xxx
All relevant points, thank you 😊
@@ThoseHappyDays You're welcome xxx
Love to you both xxx
Perhaps bikes instead of a small car. Tandem even!
@@wendyjones3953 eco friendly top 👍👍😊😊
Good advice xxx❤❤😘😘
I forgot to say with the larger lorries you have to avoid open park ups because of the wind 😊😊

I don’t have any suggestions, however I’ve just watched the video and think it’s a bloody fantastic idea. Can’t wait to see the progression and build by Liam The Terrible. Love your channel. Hopefully see you on the road sometime. 👍
That would be fab Jayson 🙏🚐
Hope all goes well with the conversion, Can't wait too see you both out enjoying van life in your home.
Soooo pleased for you both. Bigger is better! Wood burner, hooray! It's been agonising watching you guys struggle so I'm really, really chuffed you guys took the leap. Can't wait to see her out and about! =D
Thank you Michelle 💚
Cheers, appreciate that Dave 👍
Wow! This is exciting, very jealous of the wood burner. Can’t wait to see the build
Wow! Can’t wait to see your new van! Best wishes to you both💫💗💗
Thank you Mandy 😊
Sorry to see Frieda going, but it will be good for you Liam and getting rest. Can’t wait to see how it comes along, enjoy Frieda adventures in the mean time. Best of luck and best wishes to you both
Thanks Barry 💚
It’s going to be like living in a mansion 😀. Great idea with the heating, hopefully no damp area’s. Looks like everyone is going bigger in the van life community ❤️
I guess going bigger seems to always be the next logical step
Good luck guys, you are so brave. No doubt all the stress will be worth it in the end and the new van will be super fun and comfortable.
Thank you Catherine 💚
Good for you! Hope this brings you answers to your problems!
Thank you Cyndee 💚
Love your videos, greetings from South Africa 🇿🇦 can't wait to see your new van finished.
Guys I'm SO EXCITED FOR YOU BOTH personally I'd get rid of the writing on the side as as you said Liam people might think there's valuable stuff kept in there and Tey and break in while your asleep can't wait to see next week's video
Good idea Tracy, and thank you 😊
I dont do vanlife but I would get rid of the sign off the van to prevent opportunist thieves thinking they could steal a lot of things that are being moved. and I would try to put a walkway through from the cab to the back, it would be better so in freezing weather you dont have to get out of the van if you dont need to. Good luck in all you do xx
Thank you Yvonne 💚
Exciting to have a new van! I'm so worried you'd end up locked in the back while someone nicked the van, please do a walkthrough! 💚 absolutely buzzing for Liam to get a full night's sleep though and a new van build is very exciting!
🙏🚐
Best guy in the world to sort your van. Liam the Terrible will do you proud - brilliant craftsman.
Best wishes for your future home x
Thanks Ros 💚
AWESOME!!!-- I would keep the signage for stealth, but would add a window or two, which might defeat the purpose, lol. If it were me, I would DEFINITELY add a bathroom...you've got the space. Yes...a wood stove would be a fantastic addition. S9 much space, so many ideas :-)
👍👏🚐
I’d def put the bed over the cab. Then you can have some nice seating and storage down below. So exciting guys
I love a van build , very exciting 🙌🏼🌱💚🌎 make sure you have a bathroom in such a big space x
Might be able to to 😍
keep the sign writing. it gives it a feel of Jones' van from Dads Army. xxxxx
Hahaha yes 🤣
Definitely go for access through the cab as at the moment you can only secure the rear doors from outside unless your going to change them in some way good luck sleep is so important
Thank you 💚
So excited for you can’t Waite to see the finished article x
💚🙏
I personally would leave the cab separate, build a storage cupboard to use as a plinth to extend the bed and you could incorporate a ladder into that also, best of luck with your build cant wait to see the progress.
Ladder to the bed? Good idea 🙏
