Unless I missed it (I watched a few times). you didn't say how the add your product to the page. Do you use a shortcode , product code? You jumped quickly into how to use Elementor but not how to actually add your product to the page itself. The rest of the video was great!
it took me around 7 days to make a complete site, still needs some small tweaks, but this video gave literally everything needed to make one. most efficient 15min video!

Themes/started templates appear for hostings even for 000webhost free ones.

Is there a difference between themes in terms or some being better than others? I actually used to use astra and now i have divi but i kind of made the decision without a lot of thought

Yupp. Thats true. Mostly templates are paid. If you know a little bit designing, you can design it by yourself. I Design my clients website and store from scratch.

I'm using the astra and free elementor version, Dokan. the problem, I can't seem to figure out for weeks is why my basket sliding animation that are comes from the right side swing all the way to the left fast and back to the right to show 40%. Any suggestion why the basket / cart when click on would swings out from right to left and settle back at right? i just want the basket / cart when click on it slide sideway halfway and stop. Any suggestion?

Did you figure this out? Same issue for me.
Now, Starter Template section has been placed to the theme "astra" dashboard section, go to Astra>Dashboard> Starter Templates on the top of the menu.
