You do realize the S2k is much lighter than the Mustang. The power to weight ratio is much better in the S2k than the Mustang. When you actually think about it the Mustang only had 100hp more than the S2k. The main reason the S2k lost is because it was a manual vs an automatic.

+Jorge Arias i highly doubt it... if its the tune that made him potentially slower. A car like that needs maintenance 24/7... i doubt a tune would screw up his car. If he knows what he's doing the owner. Than no its highly unlikely he would screw up the tune on the car..
Coyote 5.0 are very strong engines... they're forged internals can withstand +1000hp. Plus block and piston rods including head gasket... They're meant for that beating.
A 2jz is a totally different engine. Yes ive seen stock 2jz run 1000hp. On one pass... the rest will just fall apart and seize up. Gasket will break, loose compression, piston rings will melt with the pistons. The bushings for piston rods will fry. The piston rods will either bend to a 90 degree angle or be thrown out of the block. The only thing that will hold is the steel crankshaft.

No they are not built to crash.. 2012 Gt has never once let me down and despite the common belief for how heavy it is, it is still decent at getting around corners haha. Some people just has shit reactions and put them into the wall. As for cheap if you think mid 30k's to low 40k's is cheap then I wish I was you.

Where are these groups of car people? Like Im pretty heavy in my local car scene and there might be a couple of people with decent horse power builds.. but these guys are always at meets where everyone has just insanely fast cars. Is this just an exclusive club you have to get into??
Same in any scene like this, I spent more time in illegal/underground road racing (corners too) with superbikes and stunt scenes. Basically you have to stick at it for a while and prove yourself to be a good sort, or at least so that people who are in those groups already want to include you. Just be social and cool, don' t be an asshole and endanger people/screw up meets/do burnouts in the carpark and get the cops called/etc..
One thing is people with similar levels of car modification often hang together. Not like you'll get a guy with a stock EK9 civic hanging out cruising with a TT gallardo etc.. people with similar budgets often cruise together.

Watch some vids on the "Mighty Car Mods" channel, you'd be surprised what you can do for pretty cheap. But as far as something like these? It's hard to say, because a lot of the work done is purely cosmetic. As far as actually getting a normal looking one of these cars to go this fast, you could probably get it done for 50k or so assuming you own a working car to use. Maybe a lot less really if you can do much of the work yourself. If you want one that Looks like those? heh, 250k-300k who knows lol.
As someone with an LS swapped S2K, it's not cheap! You can do it yourself if you're an excellent fabricator, most of the time people hack them up (USA people seem to often absolutely rape cars with the lax inspections there and do hack jobs). A proper job done by a shop, 30-40k USD + for a swap. That's you coming in and they source everything incl some beefier brakes... then if you want that to be a circuit car add another 20k for all the other upgrades. Dry sump is about cost of a turbo setup as it is.... and also depends on what engine you want. LS1 is cheaper than an LS3,LS9 or LT1 etc etc...

It kind of depends. The 7.1 second s2000 is running insanely high boost on a massive turbo and a fully built motor there isn't much else you could do in the way of making power. It's also prepped for pure straight line speed and has a fully stripped interior. I think it's easier to make 1100 hp on a 2jz than on the f20 or f22 so it makes sense for someone to swap it in.

No... for 1100whp both cars will have similar mods as neither can make that on a stock block. The F20/22C comes with factory forged internals and can hold up to 800+rwhp on a stock block. The 2JZ 700-850 seems to be the number on a stock block(on meth)
