A little titbit of ruling on nat 1 attack rolls: They always miss. Quoting PHB, If the d20 roll is a 1, the attack misses regardless of any modifiers or the target's AC.
I haven't finished the episode so they might bring it up but if its called the city of glass and it's under water then it could be a city with glass walls around it to stop the water to getting in. (This might be obvious I've just been thinking about that since I heard it was under water)

@@ZechOfTheWest Yeah but Thanos was fighting a concept, I.E. Universal Hunger and population control (assuming you mean MCU Thanos). And Thanos didn't really conquer worlds to help this goal. I think the Sargeras analogy works better
Zech Of The West But Thanos idea was kind of ridiculous (if you assume what he assumes you must also admit the problem will be exactly the same in 30 years again because the population will have doubled again - so you would have to wipe out half of it every generation, and that’s even more horrendous than what he already did. Starbane on the other hand has an actual threat with an actual way he might resolve it. He reminds me more of Revan in KOTOR.
I super disagree with everyone pressuring him Lucius to remove the crown. That being said, idk what background conversations were had about it. From the outside it looks like bullying.
Lost my Ranger a few weeks ago and am currently playing a Dwarven Tempest Cleric who wears a warhammer and shield...gotta say, when I heard "Howling Tempest" and the shit it could do I was like "I want Dethek to have that!".
That would be a little meta gamy. I mean what in character motivation would Oriya have for giving up useful loot she gained helping the party to a stranger she just helped resurrect? She has more motivation to keep it.

It's a bit sad to see Pyri constantly treated like shit. Also, I find it funny that Nova brings up fear of being Brookstoned, but is not immediately on side with Starbane. Hmm? P.S. I find Katie's characters to be somewhat arrogant a lot of the time, I don't know if I'm reading too far into it or not though. Her characters, not her, before anyone can misinterpret what I said.
Na I agree katie in character has been so irritating, the whole constantly shushing tom last episode, insisting on getting her weapon upgraded first even though at the time she didn't know the guardian could do both tasks so she was willing to completely disregard Pyri's entire point of being there. She has been extremely grating and I have a feeling the powerups she has received will only go to justify her ego.
My understanding was that the cradle would stop planar magic and any similar such thing unless it is done in a specific way or the person performing it knows the way through the cradle. For example, the planar gateways that brought starbane in to Aerois and the path Kilara follows to bring souls beyond the cradle. Admittedly, I haven't watched the episode yet so I may be responding out of context.

If anything I was telling you what Mark had said and how you had misinterpreted it. Because the taboo, and I'm pretty sure it was outright illegal in most places too, was in place specifically because experimentation on planar magic was feared to circumvent the protection of the Cradle.

It's a bit sad to see Pyri constantly treated like shit. Also, I find it funny that Nova brings up fear of being Brookstoned, but is not immediately on side with Starbane. Hmm?
P.S. I find Katie's characters to be somewhat arrogant a lot of the time, I don't know if I'm reading too far into it or not though. Her characters, not her, before anyone can misinterpret what I said.
Its a rule they have, anytime that Tom plays a character who appears later on.. They all have the right to verbally abuse him ;)
Na I agree katie in character has been so irritating, the whole constantly shushing tom last episode, insisting on getting her weapon upgraded first even though at the time she didn't know the guardian could do both tasks so she was willing to completely disregard Pyri's entire point of being there. She has been extremely grating and I have a feeling the powerups she has received will only go to justify her ego.

My understanding was that the cradle would stop planar magic and any similar such thing unless it is done in a specific way or the person performing it knows the way through the cradle. For example, the planar gateways that brought starbane in to Aerois and the path Kilara follows to bring souls beyond the cradle. Admittedly, I haven't watched the episode yet so I may be responding out of context.
@@captainslender12 sounds reasonable I just thought that the way mark explained it in one of the first streams made it seem like all teleporting was negate.
What Mark said at the beginning was that planar magic was forbidden. It's a religious taboo to protect people from bypassing the Cradle.

Because the taboo, and I'm pretty sure it was outright illegal in most places too, was in place specifically because experimentation on planar magic was feared to circumvent the protection of the Cradle.
