This is the game I played on the GameBoy because my family never gave me a SNES. So I was thankful for getting a port of this fantastic game on the Game Boy.
remember reading that these things stopped showing up in games due to the internet. people could figure it out immediately. which kind of spoiled them.
"What Donkey Kong Land 2 Doesn't Tell You" I am not a remake/port of DKC2... just because for capacity reasons I have to merge two worlds into one, but I AM a re-port of DKC2. Which is kinda funny: DKL is set between DKC1 and DKC2, DKC2 and DKL2 are the same events, just on different console (I mean, at this point let's not consider the GBA version a remake just because of Kerozene), and DKL3 is (potentially) set between DKC2 and DKC3.
And Bramble blast was moved to Krazy kremland, haunted hall and castle crush were replaced by Krazy Koster and Dungeon Danger, but most importantly Kudgel is nowhere to be found and so Kudgel's Kontext is cut
@@DarkBowser64 agreed, it's kinda like getting new DKC2 levels. Even if the game is easier, it has some good ones, and a few challenging ones. Especially if you're trying to get 100%. (Hint: There's no 102% in this.)
This game and the first Land game as well both have Super Game Boy support to give the games some colors. You can't access the super game boy support from the NSO version unfortunately
The Super Gameboy was such a fun thing. Why Nintendo refuses to even offer that is beyond me Making your own colors is fun, plus it can help people with issues seeing certain colors. So it can also help gamers with vision issues
@@knuclear200x Because it doesn't have the Super Game Boy boarders? Which, by the way, the 3DS Game Boy emulator didn't have either. Neither did the Game Boy Player on the GameCube. If you legit think that makes the service worthless, then you are a very sad individual.
@knuclear200x $20 a year for online access, multiple NES, SNES, GB, and GBC games, discounts on 1st party games with the vouchers, trials of multiple different games every few months, and access to Nintendo Music is worthless to you all because of a stupid border?
Ah man I knew the buddies had secondary features but for the life of me I couldn’t work out how to perform it. I knew they must have a secondary function because the spiders levels layouts had areas clearly designed for his web platforms as in the DKC games.
I’m really glad they’re adding these games I’m sure we’ll get land 3 next. They really need to add the country gba ports also so once the returns remaster comes out we’ll have every country game on one console to play.
DKL2 in 4 days i bet it will be the same in dkl 3
Would be cool if they released the third one on thanksgiving
Please please please
Maybe since it is dk N64 25 year anniversary we will get a re release of it
@@rickychappell7179 That would be awesome

Why don’t we have stuff like this anymore? It’s so cool.

The level designs are different even in levels that share the same name as the console equivalent. I would call it a portable level pack instead.

Thanks for helping me prove how worthless NSO is

@SALTYTOAD00 thanks for *further* explaining how worthless NSO is

Awesome!
What an amazing Gameboy game, the controls are spot on and the visuals are clear compared to the first Land game.

It's like nintendo power, telling me secrets 'n' stuffs
THANK YOU.I knew Squitter still had platforms but couldn't figure it out

You do know all three DKC games are on the Super Nintendo app for NSO, right? So, all we're missing now is DKL3 and DK64
Guys I think Andre loves Donkey Kong
This is the best thumbnail of 2024
I wish I know about these 30 years ago!
Nice cheat code tricks
When is Donkey Kong Land 3 coming to Nintendo Switch?
I'm guessing either towards the end of this week or early next week
Game is lifeless without the SGB enhancements
hii
The music is so much better than in the snes version imo
it's fun to cheat🙂↔️🙂↔️
Well back in the day some these games were considered hard and the cheats let us proceed and finally finish the games.
Not always. Stuff like aimbot can ruin online multiplayer games.
