I honestly laughed at your “libation.” I don’t like alcohol, liquor, etc in the slightest, and it definitely causes me to stand out in this generation at only 24. However, you enjoying something that God made for enjoyment is not a sin. Like everything, do so in moderation. Except for grace, of course. For in Christ it abounds.

Having said that, what's your stance on Marijuana? Because it's more "god's creation" than refined liquor. For that matter, so is cocaine, but that's not what this question was about.

I was 5 years of chronic illness! I was Semi Housebound, lost my health, job, finances and my fiance left me. I couldn't even look at electronic screen for 5 minutes, or hold a 10-minute conversation.
But God did an amazing work.
I now have a Christian Channel where I encourage people and show them what God did in my life and that there is hope for you also. ✝️🔥😊🙌🏼

There's a difference between allowing consumption of alcoholic beverages (which he does) and being cavalier about it (which he emphatically isn't).
@@kyriosity I get it. It’s very subjective. I have wrestled with alcohol my entire adult life. Alcoholics are on both sides of my family tree. I wish the good Lord was clearer on this subject but I trust his wisdom. He provides us with some wiggle room. Just enough rope to hang our selves if we lack discretion. I see adults who can 99% of the time use sound judgment w booze but on rare occasions slip and have that 1 or 5 too many and present themselves a fool to the adults and children around them and destroy their Christian example…or at least compromise it. Tough call.
@@regularguy3202 The Lord is plenty clear - He causes the vines to grow to produce the fruit to make the wine to gladden men's hearts, and He tells us not to get drunk with it. Of course it requires discretion to learn where the line is. But EVERY gift God gives us requires discretion. Money, sex, food, technology, education - we can hang ourselves on all of it. Alcohol doesn't have some special magical power that we need to be afraid of it. The enemy is us, our own sinful natures, not anything outside ourselves.

Dear Mr. Douglas Wilson, first please allow me to call you Doug, second please indulge me in listening to (pardon my 60’s-70’s Chicago public Ed.) a story of mine. Growing from mess to older mess and not knowing God but blue collar then and Jesus now , setness of edgness was my perch and to tally it would be this day but for our divine creator and lamps along the the way lit 🔥 so as to see that the creator in me guides my turmoil to ease with months like these.

Sorry but I have a real problem with what Doug is doing here. We need to set a better example than this. You've got to make sure you're lighting your cigar better than this or else it will have a bad burn and ruin the whole experience. Everything else was fine.
