A very refreshing talk. At a period when hundreds of people talk about "the best street photography lens" say 28mm, 35mm etc. the way a medium to long telephoto lens will speak volumes in the hands of a real photographer. Thanks.
Artistically beatiful shots. That lense can produce unique bubble bokeh. TTartisan 100mm f2.8 is an excellent copy of that triplet and not expensive. This lens among a few vintage lenses which work very wel on small m43 sensor because of the exellent central sharpness and resolution.
Wonderful! My view of things exactly. Like watching "Perfect Days" from Wim Wenders again! Being from Greece i feel like i have found a brother from another mother from Japan! Owning the original Primotar 180/3.5 and a whole array of Meyer designs executed by Pentacon : the 135/2.8 300/4 and 500/5.6. Dream lenses.
Steven, I really enjoy your videos and I learn a lot from them. Thanks a lot for this content, you always motivate me to shoot pictures every time I go back to Japan.
Will this Meyer-Optik lens work on a Bessaflex? I'm a rangefinder guy. Through and though. BUT I have ONE SLR lens that I absolutely love. The Carl Zeiss Jena Biotar 58mm F2. Up to now I used it with an Edixa Reflex where it worked fine. Edixa being Edixa however came with it's little annoying quirks which eventually lead me to sell it. I needed a replacement body for my Biotar. I decided on a BESSAFLEX, which isn't the cheapest option, especially when I only really needed it for ONE lens. So I did buy one. It arrived today. And it turns out that the mirror is hitting the back of the Biotar. Now I have one M42 camera and one M42 lens that don't really like each other. I very nearly gave up and almost sold everything but then I saw this video so I might just keep that Bessaflex and see how it gets along with Meyer-Optik. I saw in your video that the back of the lens doesn't protrude as much as the Biotar... Hopefully...
Turn on your channel, cup of coffee in my day off, make me feel i have a friend beside to talk about lenes.

Your subtleness and sensitivity is an art form in itself. You're too good for RUclips :) Thank you for sharing your passion.
Thank you so much :)
Steve, this is great sharing. Thank you!

Also, the ProImage film is beautiful -- I will have to find some!
Thank you Isaac :))
Great and very inspiring video! 😎✌️ Thanks for sharing this. I‘ll defenitely follow up your channel.
I just commented on your most recent video, and then watched this one, and I see you like Saul Leiter 😊 I'm glad my impression was accurate!

I love your videos 😌
Hey Stephen, what is the name of this particular song? It is so magical
I did it a long time ago, I've forgotten it.
Very nice video ☺️👌🏻 This lens is still on my wish list. More videos like this please 🤗 Greetings from Berlin, Denis
