MAP animators 101: MAP joining etiquette

- So this is an interesting video I know-- it isn't what I normally do, but I think it'd be a fun way to branch out my channel a little!
I feel like maybe people don't touch on this topic enough, but there are some things that, as a map host, I would love to see!
I know I'm a little awkward, my editing skill isn't great, and there's a lot of background noise, but i'm doing my best! Maybe as I do these I'll get a little better at recording these, and maybe even get better equipment! This is just a start, so it's faaaar from perfect. But hopefully as I keep going they'll get better.
Tell me what you think! Give me your opinions on what I've stated! Is there something I touched on that you didn't agree with? Is there something I didn't touch on that you feel would have been important? Let me know!

Excellent job, you did great explaining the basics of MAPs! I think maybe if you do this again, maybe go over the history of MAPs or maybe give a description of the different kinds of MAPs? eg PMV, Warriors, OC, Vent, etc...

I just hosted a map yesterday (my first) and I started with 14 rules. I keep deleting more and more because I’m afraid it’s too many. I had a code word but ended up getting rid of it because no one was using it. I know that’s bad, but I feel like no ones reading the rules. I’ve joined a bunch of maps and have ALWAYS needed this video. Thank you! ❤️🌸
rusted bxtterflies Yeah, I getcha!!! I mostly made it bc people dm me on social medias for parts a lot, and it gets really awkward to say no, but rules is another really prominent one! I have to turn down a lot of people bc they didn’t read the rules! There’s never too many rules! Don’t delete ‘em just make sure u only let in people who read em! Rules are important!!
Icefelis Otsukimi do you have any tips for ways to get more people to join? I’m worried not enough people will join and it’ll never be completed. I noticed you did touch joining them here but I was wondering how I could nicely get people to join so there’s enough time for this map!

as for topic suggestions, maybe you could talk about _impulsive MAPs_ or _rash MAP hosting_ and how to get over that? I've seen this a lot especially the past few months that people just kinda set up a MAP and take it down two weeks later because they lost interest in hosting it, and have also faced this problem myself. I think it's important to talk about this issue, too.

I guess this is kind of related to MAPs but you should talk about how you plan out your animations (ie presenting a storyboard to the host as an update while still conveying an ideal animation?) as well as the process of making a MAP part? I know you already have streams but I would love to see a more in-depth video :0

Looks like I still haven't some major practice ahead of me lol 💕 I'm definitely way better than I was say ~2 years ago, I remember at one point I was going around begging people to join my map and I know that you were one of the people I bothered :') so sorry about that. Perhaps you should have added that you shouldn't go around begging others to join your map ( or put that in a part 2 cause it's pretty annoying )
Lol, ik for some people that can be a problem, but I actually enjoy it when people ask me to join their map, ha!

Could you covor Map Joining Etticute going more into the rules?
There's a map I'm hosting with a Hangouts Chat you need to join and _Someine Joined and didn't join the chat_ which means that now I can't get in touch with them easily.

I've been trying to, but ended up not being able to because I don't want to berrated their replies, because they seem to be a slow responder, I just now asked again
Ok, if you’ve asked twice or more, I’d tell them that they’d have to join it, or I’d drop ‘em! If they can’t follow your rules they shouldn’t be in!
