I'm a dons supporter and I had them finishing 12th this year I think the injuries, lack of fitness and lack of strong leadership is what caused us to slide down the ladder. Excited for next year though
Great call for 2023, Riles. The best news is that the 2023 season is dead and buried. Right? now let's break out the budgie smugglers , head off to the beach, and recharge for the 2024 season. Yes, that's right, it all starts again next year. The bad news is that Gerald Healey refuses to do a Richie Benaud, that smirk on Sam Mitchell's face refuses to disappear, and we have the prospect of watching the Suns and Roos climb out of their malaise.
Jezza had an injured shoulder after the concussion which he just had surgery on. Considering he missed a lot of trainings and had to get pain relief before games it was actually pretty impressive his efforts in the back half of the year.
Coming from an American who had only seen 1 game of footy before this year. That being Collingwood’s 2010 premiership. This year was surprising to see those same Magpies go on to win the Premiership.
Thanks Riles at least you got had a crack and got some predictions right. Good Luck next time hopefully you get them all right and everything goes well for you❤
Interesting video Riles. One correct out of eighteen isn't exactly anything to write home about but you certainly aren't Robinson Crusoe in that regard. I congratulate you on eating humble pie, I can't say that the so called experts have done likewise. Collingwood caught everyone out except us Magpie fans. Predicting how the season will pan out before it starts is a mugs' game but no doubt everyone will do it again next year. Enjoy your summer without footy and come back refreshed in 2024
This isn't just you rating your rankings. Loads of us agreed in general: "Solid rankings, though I'd switch your 8th and 9th team...", things like that. We should all go back to that video and react to what we said before the season launched. 😀We could all use new crystal balls for 2024.
Here were my Predictions: Geelong back to back minor premiers: Absolute embarrassment Richmond premiers: Bigger embarrassment Gold Coast to finally make finals: They let me down Fremantle and Bulldogs to drop out of finals: ✅️ Essendon have a 4-2 start to the season: ✅️ Bulldogs choke making finals: ✅️ 15: Hawthorn, 16: North Melbourne, 17: West Coast: 1 position off GWS become wooden spooners: They've absolutely proven be wrong, my biggest embarrassment. Touk Miller wins Brownlow: He missed a lot of games. Stewart Dew coach of the year: He got sacked by an atrocious liar
what i got on the dot: -2 or more ties (there was 2) -swans in 8th -melbourne 4th what i got 1 off: -weagles 17th -saints 7th what i got horribly wrong: -tigers 3rd -gold coast 6th -giants wooden spooners -carltton 10th or below
I remember watching the predictions video. I was looking for it after the season ended so cheers for posting this. I reckon Diacos would have pushed Neil if he had have played the last 4 games.
My point differential for my ladder was 70. I got Swans, Crows and North perfect - Lions and Dees with 1 Dif and Carlton and Hawks with 2 Dif. I had Cats in 2nd(10 Dif) Giants in 16th (9 Dif), Tigers in 5th (8 Dif), Dockers 6th (8 Dif) and Saints 13th (7 Dif) as my howlers
I totally did not agree with your 8th prediction for our Swannies for this season.....but who could have seen all those injuries happening? So good prediction in the end Riles.

Mate I wasn’t even listening to what you were saying at the beginning just amazed that west coast wasn’t there until 13 come on that was ridiculous they were my wooden spoon prediction and I was correct
Just stumbled across the video, Great entertaining video, Im a Cats Supporter and even I was just beside myself this year, I mean how do we dominate a season so well to then come 12th the following year, Unreal, I put it down to a few things, Betts no longer being our sml frw coach aswell as us simply not having that hunger for the win anymore, We got it last year so we just simply didnt care and it showed..
Edge is the ultimate opportunist. Zac Bailey is better than Edge at being the ultimate opportunist. Nah Edge won the WWE championship in 2006. Yeah, but Bailey has to play in a team of 18. We need state of origin back. Jordan DeGoey - N.S.W. Zac Bailey - Northern Territory Bobby Hill W.A. Charlie Cameron - Queensland Ash Johnson - W.A. Joe Daniher - Victoria ? I don't agree with this idea that a team is a top four team just because they ended up in a prelim. I think sometimes true top four teams can choke on a day and since finals are cut-throat, it shouldn't define an entire season's standings. In terms of why we even consider positions - we do so to set up the finals. Those positions are an indication of how the H&A was. Sometimes good teams can choke, and if they do, your reward as a winner is to advance - but not to suddenly have your entire H&A standing changed. In a way the Saints were given their respect for the H&A here but weren't demoted just because of them bowing out in the first week, the position still stood. And in that case, Carlton's should as well (and let's be honest here, if the Swans were more accurate, they'd have been out in the first week) but they'd still be called a 5th side. Can't have it one way and not the other.
I think you misunderstood all I said was Carlton we’re a top 4 team at the end of the year because they were apart of the last 4 teams remaining. Hence they have pick 16 instead of 14. But yeah I do agree with what you have said.
