My wife loves the jerk chicken there. Very popular place. Thanks for posting!
They have a great variety of good options! Thanks for watching!
Always love your Pirate laugh. So cool 😎. My Uncle used to own a 3 bedroom condo beach front. Too cool 😎Lunch time prices are of course the cheapest. Think I made a meal outa appetizers. Fried crab claws etc
Arrrrr 😀👍
Burger was overcooked but the Fish and Shrimp looked DELICIOUS!
Safe Journey! CHOLULA!!!
Seafood is definitely the way to go at this joint! Thanks for watching!
Great video! All three of those dishes looked delicious, especially the Trigger fish dish. DeSoto's looks like a great place!
It was recently featured in Southern Living magazine I think.
Ouuuuu...someone just gave me a Southern Living magazine the other day, featuring New Orleans and the Gulf area. It must be in that one! I took it to work with me yesterday, and flipped through the first few pages, but didn't get a chance to really look at it, excited as I am about reading it! I will look through it tonight. @@NOLAGent1
That's a very watery chowder not a bisque. Other food did look delish though except the burger, was overcooked and if that's a seafood gumbo I'm Marie Laveau.
The "bisque" is not something I would repeat. It is really hard to find good gumbo outside of Louisiana for some reason.
@@NOLAGent1 IKR! learn to make it right or don't make it at all.
Lived for years in the Florida panhandle, loved Trigger fish filets that were battered & deep fried. Pretty sure they were not Asian imports.
Trigger is really great and I've never seen imported trigger. Now Swai is always imported along with most tilapia and sadly way too many places have those fish with some places not even telling you that is what they use.
@@NOLAGent1 Angola prison raises tilapia . We ALWAYS make sure to get wild caught fish, farm raised has zero taste.
Farm raised feed often has a lot of toxins in it as well.
@@NOLAGent1 Sure does
@NOLAGent1 Tilapia ear mosquito larvae in the wild , and yes always ask what kind of fish and a receipt from the fisherman . You don't want to pay $40 for a Tilapia
Mikees has the best blackened Triggerfish , but its not on the menue .
It seems to be harder to find triggerfish on a regular basis on menus. Sometimes it is a special at places but I've seen very few spots have it on their menu all the time. Bahama Bob's had it on their menu but no idea when they are opening again...

If they cant make a gumbo , get up and leave , dont order anything else. A child can make a really good gumbo.
So far I find it very hard to get a passable gumbo outside of Louisiana with a very few exceptions. You can even find awful gumbo in Louisiana.
But unless your down on luck , who orders a hamburger on the gulf , shimp is affordable most places , but $ 14 for a dry hamburger , 😮
I've eaten here many times so I tried something different and it didn't work out...
A lot of people who weren't raised near fresh seafood don't enjoy it. I must have been 20 or 25 before I ever tasted shrimp.
