LISTEN to people, and take an interest. One thing you'll see all the time in LA is people going on and on about themselves, and then tuning out when someone else is talking. If you listen to other people, you'll stand out.
Bruce BBall I’m sure if you made a real effort you could make friends, also if you’re going to college there first it’ll be easier to make more lasting friendships
Thank you SO MUCH for this video. These were very helpful tips. The "being tired after work" I totally understood - I WILL keep stuff in my car to change into. This was all about getting out of my comfort zone. I am inspired to push myself to make some important changes. Excellent advice. Please keep the videos coming. :)
You're welcome! Yup, I learned the "being tired after work" thing directly from being in LA. I used to live in a quiet suburb back home, and so I got in the habit of always feeling like I should automatically go home after work. Coming to LA though really changed that perspective for me :)
Good tips! I'm from Los Angeles but I moved away 2 years ago for college. I want to go back start a brand but I will need to start from scratch with a whole different type of crowd. This video was definitely helpful and I will be using your website to help me!!!
I'm so sorry! I judged you in the beginning of the video because you sounded nervous and I thought it would be a beginner video but you have some really great tips! And they are very practical! Thank you - Vik
This is perfect, thank you so much. I love your personality, if you still live in the LA area I would love to hang out. Moving there in about a month and I don’t know anybody yet
My parents are native Angelenos. When my dad was in college his roommate at Cal Tech pulled a knife on him. Now that I'm moving back to LA for college my dad's even willing to pay for my apartment as long as I don't get a roommate.
I said yes one time and then the guy keep come to botter me whenever I have time or not. So I dont know how could I tell them to be clear to let them know I have my own plan and need my own space⋯Do u have other tips on this? Like how do reject them clear and no hurt their feeling.
Yes, because it costs money to run and maintain. I currently don't make any profit at all. Am I supposed to go broke helping you guys? You sound very entitled...
@@Esimagic u could have mentioned that in the video so that's a lie by omission. U dont make any money? Surrrreee u dont. Dont turn this on me check yourself. B4 u wreck urself. Jesus. Christ u see the stupidity of this. Damn city first hand and then contribute. What a way to go.
I said I currently don't make any profit. Profit = Sales minus Expenses, which means that LA Goals costs me more money than I make back from the membership fees. Please google what profit means. Lol, and no I don't have to mention anything about where the fees go in my videos. Again, you're very entitled sounding. I'm not sure what planet you live on where people have to disclose all their finances to public...lol.

These tips are great.
Thank you!
Thanks for sharing! When you moved how did you find your roommates and how long did it take you to secure your apartment and move in?
Craigslist unfortunately, lol. It wasn't the safest thing, but I did what I did. I got an apartment within one day though, it was super fast.
I live in Toronto, Canada.
I drive long haul from Toronto to California every week.
I like to make friends. I have no friends in LA.
