Demoman never rotates the barrel of his grenade launcher, half the weapons show no shells put in, Sniper just takes the magazine off his SMG, then just put it back on.

demos grenade launcher barrel rotating was a thing before it got removed
plenty of games have a reload where they take out the mag and then put the same mag back it, why bother making something look nice if nobody is going to see it outside of cheats.
In this case however it’s not cheat locked, but still technically outside of the intended settings
