Hi, I suspect that my dryer belt is the problem as well. What were the symptoms with your unit? When I turn the power button on it doesn't spin but the unit turns on for a second when I release the button it turns off.

I am a 63-year-old single woman and I was able to change the belt MYSELF with this video. You made it so easy and I am so proud of myself!!! I did give credit to your video in saying I didn't actually do it all by myself. Thank you, thank you, thank you for giving me the confidence to conquer things I never thought I could do!!!

Thanks for the video, extremely helpful. Two things I ran into though -- removing the front panel required a lot more pulling and jostling than I thought, and as someone who's never worked with tensioning rods I wasn't sure exactly how that was supposed to be set up. But I got it done, and this helped save me a couple hundred dollars.

Great video thanks. Even though I had done one before, it's hard to remember every few years. As a heads up for ANYONE diagnosing your dryer not tumbling, always take apart and look at belt first. The belts suck and are so thin. I've replaced two in the 8 years I've had my dryer.

While this isn't my 1st rodeo, it is my 1st with this particular horse. The biggest issues were finding out how to take the top off without breaking the plastic tabs..., which you easily showed how to do. Thanks again for the video, it will make putting this on much easier.

Big mahalo for this from the Big Island. Our dryer (appears to be the same. Model as your demo unit) made loud noise according to the wife who heard it. Fortunately ours is under warranty, but this is very helpful for when it falls off of warranty and inevitably requires me to replace the belt. So looking at the broken belt, it begs the question on why it’s so slim. Too bad there is not a way to put a more robust belt on one of these units.

Completely unnecessary to take the control panel off and the entire top off just to change the belt. All you gotta do is take the two front screws out from under the front lip (above the door) and lift up on the front of the top to get those two screws out then unplug the harness in the front panel and lean it out and lift it up and set it out the way.

Why are we paying them for expedited repairs. Sheesh.

Well done! I did mention the two screws when reassembling the dryer as the screws had been removed about a week prior to making the repair while waiting for the belt to arrive.

Thank you for this helpful video! Able to fix the dryer myself, although I purchased an 88 inch belt and really need an 89 inch. No worries as that will be delivered tomorrow. However I was sliding the dryer back so it would be back in its usual spot as I wait on the belt to be delivered. The red wire popped out when the cover moved accidentally. I see where the red wire goes and put it back in the spot. Will this cause any issues, as I know you mentioned not to cause any of the wires stress (spot 1:50 in the video)? Thank you!

      Aloha Victoria,
Thank you for the kind words and I'm glad you found the video helpful.
As long as you put the wire back in the same spot it came from and did not damage anything it should be ok.

      Aloha Najwa,
There are multiple online businesses that can supply the belt. The brand of the belt is not that important. Just make sure you supply the correct model number for your machine.
