These guys are just very cool and still humble. I had the chance to hang out with them by their bus after a show they did in Winston-Salem, NC, way back from the "Atomic" CD. I felt very embarrassed to ask them to sign my CD, but they all signed it like they actually wanted to! Jeremy and A Jay are brothers you know, and they were both very kind, even when my friend patted the top of Jeremy's star-shaped hair spikes, laughed, and asked, "What do you call this, a starburst?!?" I was thinking Jeremy would punch my friend in the face but, instead, he just answered in a very laid back voice, "You can call it whatever you want, man." Allen, the original drummer who has since passed away, also signed my CD. I talked with all of them, but as a guitarist, I remember I was really most interested in talking with Jeremy about his rig. I know they crossed genres but, hey, their music is still VERY good! I wish them well and hope they can keep making music for many years to come!
This song is so beautiful and tragic. It makes me appreciate that my father's still around. He might have his flaws, and we might end up arguing over silly, small things every time we talk. But this song reminds me to call him again.
These guys are legit! I normally don’t like country, but that changed with this song… fast. I saw ‘em in a nearby Utah town a couple months ago, and they rocked!!! Hands down one of my favorite bands.

Was a fan when I first heard 'my own worst enemy'. These guys grew and matured and still produce brilliance.

Very nice song. I'v known this band since "A Place In The Sun" I was a kid back then and iv noticed how much iv changed since those and so have they. It's rather fascinating to see how much your mind changes as you grow up.
Damn. I grew up listening to Lit, just found this. I have mixed feelings, but the ending verse about the dad passing fast, that have me chills. Been through it a few months back. Time definitely felt like it went by fast.

I've been Lovin' Lit since the 90's. And I love everything about them. Now, hate to break it to every newish Lit fan that want old school Lit all the time...they're in there. Believe me., cuz I still see'em live all the time and these guy don't miss a step. They Had fun, suffered close loses and always delivered great times! Take it from someone who lived life...FAST... I know you think you're Wolverine and don't age but you'll be me...fast. And just so you know, people still tell me "awe, you're still young yet". Maybe... but not that young. Here's me older, ramblin'. Enjoy, you'll be me...fast.

I've seen them numerous times and they were great every time his voice is not trash... Are you a singer do you make money singing I didn't think so some people just need to keep on scrolling and shut up... And it's not selling out either it's called making money and they are doing it.

@@dezkade6849 My buddy's band opened for them at Jergels in PA. A year or two ago Not only were they excellent but ultra cool people. They stayed and hung out with everyone.

They’re back to primarily being a Pop Punk band. Their last album “Tastes Like Gold” is superb.

Last year my friend (who’ve I known since Grade 1) lost his father. He made the announcement on his Facebook. And I posted this song in memory of him.....everybody cried.
The irony is that it only seems like last week I was blasting out 'Beginning' on my car stereo!!!! Lit are a great band who I've followed from the start and I love every album they've recorded, including this one.....Few bands have gone through the emotional roller coaster and had such longevity as Lit and keep producing great music, Lit music....High praise from an Old English Punk rocker brought up on The Clash!!!! Can't wait to see Lit Live again in the UK with BFS next year!!!

Been a fan since 99 and they are without a doubt my favorite band. Love their music, but most of all they are some of the most humble, down to earth dudes who have so much love and appreciation for their fans. You don't have to like the new music they put out, but don't dog them for it. They have so much passion for music and they put on such great shows. They didn't sell out. They still have their rock roots. But this is part of them too. I will always support, respect and love these guys. 🤘
@JoAnn Romero I agree. Their music has changed over the years but I love it all. And they are very nice! I ran into them at the Hard Rock here in Vegas back in 2001/2002 and they stopped to talk and sign autographs. Love Lit

Hate to break it to you, but everyone uses auto tune now, it’s just not as noticeable because the program they use (Melodyne) is pretty amazing.
Aaron Lewis from one of my personal favorite bands Staind now does country so, I have no problem with Lit switching. It's "lit" either way.

Lit can do it all, Whether you like this song or not it there’s no denying that Lit can take any genre of music and own it, this song is just as good or better than any new country music out there.

Just saw them play a free show about 30 minutes from Pittsburgh last summer and they still sound great even if they're going in a new direction. I'll always like the old stuff way more, but I respect their decision to try new things.
I hope their next album comes out. Fast.

WOW! There is so much in the lyrics of this tune that I can totally relate to! It really hits me in the feels. You have always been amazing wordsmiths. Your music got my attention and your words held it.
Another tune that really hit me emotionally is, "Lullaby". Back in the day, I drove a truck and was only home on weekends. I really missed my kids back then. Listening to that song always made me want to sob uncontrollably.
I think it is a very powerful statement when you can put together words and music that can bring out such deep emotion in the listener.

I don’t have anything against country but i kinda miss A.Jay’s sideburns and his punk voice, and when he’d air guitar whilst singing at his performances. I’m not a big fan of country but i’ll always listen to the Atomic album or A Place In the Sun. they definitely changed, and they do good at what they are doing.

Dude, I was at that show. It was 2002 if I’m not mistaken. The boy they brought on to like sing the second verse is your son? That’s wild. I don’t know why but I’ll never forget that moment... then followed many other fans dancing on stage, it was a kiss a$$ show. The band sounded great.
@@BaronVonBielski yeah that was my kid. We have pictures from that show. I remember AJ grabbed my son and looked at me and gave a thumbs up and took him back stage with the band before he was trampled . So of course we got to meet the band
