Yes, African people come to Ukraine to study and some of them stay with us. I believe this choice of the song was made to emphasize that Ukrainians are not racists and xenophobes like our enemies, we respect and appreciate diversity and integration to our traditions fresh and unique styles of the other cultures. Rap, that you saw by Kalush orchestra, is originally not Ukrainian music style, but we adopted and mastered it well. We are united with the World and the World is united with us. Overall vidbir to Eurovision this year was very week on my opinion.

I voted for Tvorchi. I like their performance, Jeffrey Kenny's voice (vocalist, Nigeria' origine). Btw, Tvorchi (Творчі) in English is translated as Creative.

The synth is so damn good here, just as the vocal part is. The overall nearly apocalyptic vibe is just oooof.
    What an amazing entry. 💪💙💛

Thanks for your reaction! Ukraine has always been full of talented people and at the darkest time of our present, here in Ukraine, it's being boosted out of nowhere now. People from all the world have heard about us, about Ukraine 🇺🇦, about our fight and heroism. Musicians have become more sensual and their work has become meaningful. For us, for them, for the world 🌎

Historically, foreigners who come to live, study or work in Ukraine are mostly from Asia or the Middle East. I can't exactly say why.
In Ukraine, it is easier to meet Arabs, Indians, Koreans or Chinese (even more likely - people from the countries surrounding the Black Sea - Armenians, Azerbaijanis, Turks, Moldovans). Compared to them, people from Africa are quite small in number. But in creativity they are quite noticeable. I can quickly think of a few black performers, but not Indians or Asians.

FO SHO is a Ukrainian hip-hop group created in early 2019 in Kharkiv. The composition consists of three Afro-Ukrainian sisters - Betty, Siona and Miriam Endale.
The singers were born and raised in Ukraine. Their parents came from Ethiopia in the 1980s and decided to settle in Kharkiv after Betty was born.
