Thank you for explaining this. I always miss my shots on authentic, and I thought it was a guessing game which direction to hold for wind, and how much. This is going to make it a lot easier.
Been using the M1903 for most of my Authentic play-throughs. it’s max range is like 600m and most of the shots u take are between 200-400 so it perfect. Especially at the beginning of Spy Academy.
I was a little disappointed that you didn't go for the gargoyle above the sniper to make it more fun. I always play like a sniper would, until you're getting attacked from a few nazis, but when I see players playing these games like cod, it is frustrating. But I'm impressed that you have played with out killing or being spotted that's impressive. 😊
I don't normally go for the gargoyle as I'll probably stuff it up, and then magically the enemy sniper will know where I am and hit me. I'd rather just go for the kill shot 😁
@DazAction yeah! Not if you time it right, and you can get the nazi that comes over to check it out. And it's fun. Try it. I do it and never causes me any problems. I have loved these games completed them all a few times now. But I never ! About not killing and not being spotted at all that's tough. May do tho 🤔
Sorry I don't know what the double diamond indicates. It's been a while since I played it on a non Authentic difficulty setting, so I don't really think about it. All I think think of is maybe it indicates a more potent shot, like a headshot. But I'm just making an assumption here.
Late to the party. Still not helping on authentic. I'm taking the same shot with the same loadout, white indicators at the top and right are lined up with the vertical and horizontal crosshairs at 400. Crosshair is centred on the enemies head. No shot. What am I doing wrong? If I move off target the white indicators don't line up. Where am I supposed to aim exactly? Do I just aim at some random space in the air and hope it hits? I've tried this like 20 times. No hit.
Think I explain this at around 01:15 onwards in the video. Don't aim purely on the crosshair for the target. You need to adjust for wind and bullet drop, which is what the 2 white indicators tell you. Aim for where the 2 white indicators would intersect each other. This is shown if you lower the difficulty level to Sniper Elite difficulty as the game will draw the lines for you. In short, you don't even need the crosshairs for Authentic difficulty, just use the white indicators predominantly. At 03:40 in the video, I make the shot where the white indicators do line up, but the crosshair doesn't. I hope what I said here helps.
@@DazAction but is there an increase in sight stability and shot accuracy? I remember in SE 3/4 it had an effect. I had not noticed this effect in SE5. I was wondering what your experiences were.
There are a visual differences of the crosshairs changing size in 3rd person view when going from standing to crouching. The effect is more easily seen in some weapons more than others. For example, the Kar 98 rifle, the MP40 SMG and the Revolver I can see the crosshairs change sizes, but the M.1903 rifle I didn't see any change. I would think this does affect shot accuracy, but honestly I can't really tell.
Sorry I don't understand. Are you wanting the sniper scope stop zooming in when you aim down the sights? If so, should be an option in settings. I think it's empty lung assists or something like that. There are many options in the settings you can change to your liking.
@@DazAction no , i mean the zoom level of the rifle scope/binocular, for example if i zoomed in the rifle scope like 12x , then exit the scope , and when i use the scope again it's still on zoom 12x , i believe there's an option in sniper elite 4 where you can disable the keep zoom level , sorry for my bad English 😅
Ok thanks for clearing that up. Since I play on authentic difficulty, I totally forgot about the different zoom levels on the rifle scope as it has Authentic Zoom with just 1 zoom level. I just had a quick look in the settings and it doesn't appear to have an option for it.
With all do respect way to much time. I can be running swerving and a guy will see me for a split second and I’m dead. I don’t get how some people can take zero time to dial in and get head shots off in a split second
I never fully got into the multiplayer mode for this game, and unfortunately it's pretty much dead in my region. But there are already quite a few multiplayer tips videos for Sniper Elite 5 on RUclips that should be able to help you.
It’s just looking for lines? Wow that’s almost as easy as aim assist and timing with a red indicator. I wouldn’t know how to hit walking let alone running soldiers if they have been alarmed after seeing the bodies, or one shot was heard. It was difficult enough with aim assist, but even if I know the muzzle velocity is say 900 m/s how would I know where the soldier is in a fraction of a second?
Wow... coming from 4 and all the memorization needed to know your gun perfectly so every shot hits, and 5 makes it so easy.... kinda disappointing actually, it felt rewarding when finally every shot you took was a hit, but now the game does it for you. Its just aim assist with more steps Oh, and thanks for the clarification, good video
you just opened my eyes on how to properly snipe on authentic. thank you so much bro!
You're welcome. I'm glad this video helped you.

You're very welcome! Happy sniping!
This game is really advanced if only more games were built like this
For all but a few of the enemies on the beach in the Spy Academy level you are far enough away that no one is going to hear your gunshots.
Thank you for this video info on sniping the enemy from a distance using the authentic mode of the game.
You're welcome. I hope it has provided some value to you.
@@DazAction Definitely Boss!
This game has been giving me fits. Every time i think i got the sniper part down i end up in a close quarters gun fight instead 💔
It took me a while to get used to sniping, and when I stuffed up it felt like the entire enemy army came looking for me.
@@DazAction same here. It's that way most times
@DazAction lmao that's me on secret weapons gun and run 😂😂
Thanks Daz, I was not aware of that . Great tips. Cheers

At 369m i don't think you need worry about soundmask
True. Just a force of habit I suppose.
The target is 369M away but there are enemies closer by on his side of the water.
Thanks for the information!!! 😀👍 It sure helps knowing this.😎
Thank you. I'm glad that it's helpful for you.

It would be so funny if every time you land a headshot a sound of the TF2 sniper is playing with him saying "Boom, headshot." 😂😁🤘
Would be funny. Though I would think more of it coming from Doug from the web series Pure Pwnage.
Little bit easier than the previous one, the game was set in Italy.
Please explain why sometimes there is a double diamond instead of one?
Sorry I don't know what the double diamond indicates. It's been a while since I played it on a non Authentic difficulty setting, so I don't really think about it.

In SE5, is there any real advantage for shooting prone?
I am on my eighth play through and I am not sure that is actually coded in 5he game
It might be useful in multiplayer. Also you need to go prone to shoot from this location in this video: ruclips.net/video/FoZDNj0CwhU/видео.html

Thank you. Hope you enjoyed it.
Nice clear picture. Are you using xbox series x? I'm using xbox one s series.
Thanks, though I'm playing the game on PC.
Hi , I'm playing on hard difficulty, is there an option to disable keep zoom level ? It's kinda annoying

Practice. Trial and error. Once you become familiar with a weapon, you can estimate how much to lead a moving target.

this version of aim assist and empty lung zoom sucks. they should of kept the se4 version. espescially for the pvp multiplayer on this game.
