My favorite is disabling the tank, by whatever means, then shoot it with a flare gun. It is spectacular. I assume the disabled tank is spewing fuel and that is what ignites. Don't be close by because the explosion takes out everything in the immediate area.
@@DazAction Really? I did not know that. Maybe that is what is happening and not the ignition of fuel. It's almost instantaneous, so that is some serious johnny-on-the-spot artillery. I'm going to find a flare gun and shoot it into an open area to see what happens.
It's amazing how quickly after firing a flare gun the artillery strike comes. A bit too quick for WW2 I reckon. But it's great for taking out tanks for sure.
@@DazActionI just recently got into sniper elite (I know I’ve been sleepin) and I had no clue what the flare gun did 😂 now I wanna go back and redo missions where I know I’d seen some. The one with the prototype sub is one but I’m sure I missed them on other missions as well
Most impressed with how you took out the two guys with 1 bullet and a takedown. Seen that tactic on Hitman but didn't think it would work here.. I've either been luring one away with a bottle, nailing one with a sticky grenade or throwing out some tnt and shooting it.
Thanks. It's a great way to take out 2 enemies in close range. Plus I didn't want the Tank to hear me at that point. Your tactic is good too. Especially if you want to go loud and aggressive.
The amount of bullets needed to destroy a tank after its weak spot is exposed depends on whether or not you're using AP or Normal rounds to destroy it from the exposed weak spot as well as how much damage your gun does. Like I was able to destroy tanks with 2 AP rounds when using the Winchester rifle at it's highest damage possible.
In SE 3 and 4, I would put a Teller mine and tnt on the road in front of a tank and finish it, but that only cripples the tracks, here. The good thing is that SE5 tanks are almost blind, compared to SE 4, where they would see me from behind at 100 yards and start shelling me...
I also find the tanks in SE4 to be more lethal than SE5. Maybe they thought SE4 was too difficult and toned it down in the sequel. But both are very fun to play.
AP shotgun slugs work very well too, if you're carrying a less powerful rifle. Definitely a better approach than hunting for panzerfausts or messing around with explosives.
Nice. I never thought of the shotgun for that. I hardly use the shotgun as a secondary weapon as it's loud, but I can see how it's power would come in handy for taking out tanks. Thanks for the information.
@@DazAction It's crazy powerful. It makes easy work of Jagers, and a single AP round to the engine destroys a truck (or just two standard rounds). If you decide to give it a proper try, MK-II suppressor, extended barrel and high speed mag is the way to go, with other upgrades focused on increasing fire rate/reducing reload time. It's surprisingly effective at range too (especially with match ammo, which you can carry with not needing subsonics or soft points), given that any hit at all guarantees a kill so you don't need pinpoint accuracy. I do love a bayonet, so it isn't my go to, but it's probably the most fun rifle to use if I feel like tearing through a mission quickly.
@@DazAction I'm usually the same with noise, but I'm not really an SMG user either, so sometimes I will carry a shotgun just to have that option. I also played through the whole of Rough Landing with just the Sjogren a few days ago (tons of fun, and made the lack of enemies a lot less noticeable), which is how I found out the slugs were so effective against the tank. Taking out a tank is noisy however you do it anyway, so I don't really mind the choice of weapon so much there. Whatever gets the job done.
I was wondering why when I layed land mines and immobilized the tank I would strap on a satchel but it still wouldn't finish the tank off. I thought it was a glitch
Mind blown. Is there an HP requirement for your sniper rifle in order to penetrate the engine armor? Or is it just the AP round itself that does the trick?
Explosives need to hit the weak spots to be truly effective against armoured vehicles. I find it's hard to get the TNT to land exactly where I want at times.
This is one of the funnest games I've ever played. So many ways to replay each level, you just never get tired of it. The stealth is a blast!
In real life you just wait for the Tiger to have a transmission failure and the tank crew will abandon the tank.🤣🤣🤣🤣
In the first segment when you shot the guy on the bridge and he fell in the water was epic 🏆
Yeah that part was awesome.

I've never tried that before. But the flare gun calls in an artillery strike, so the tank is doomed anyway.

Just thinking off the top of my head, there is one in mission 6.
This is exactly the tip(a) I needed! Without a Panzerfaust I had no idea how to kill a tank. Thank you. Subscribed!
You're welcome, and thank you for subscribing.

it also work in Shadow Tomb rider too
Yeah, this is a great tactic. I use it in other games, too, like Deus Ex.
Ive got a video of a 1 bullet two person take down went through the whole campaign then on replay managed it not been playing long

I threw everything but the kitchen sink at that tank in mission 5! Thanks for the tips!
You're welcome. Glad I could help.
thanks for the tip about the crane operator in the other video, i was able to get that medal immediately after starting the mission!
You're welcome. That one took me forever to find out. Think I might have seen someone else do it on a stream. I had no idea how to accomplish it.

Nice. I've only used the Winchester a bit. Might need to use it more later on. Thanks.
I have discovered that a powerful rifle like the 1903 and an AP round will finish off a tank with two or three shots
G43 does it in 3 surprisingly lol I expected to have to put at least 4 in it but once the engine cover blew it only took 1 in the block and she blew 😂
When I lay land mines I like to drop a couple of TNTs behind it. When the front of the tank hits the mine it sets off the TNT underneath!
That's a really good tactic. Thanks for sharing.

The first tank I destroyed was NOT taken out by 2 mines and 2 TNT. One of each enough in Sniper Elite 4. Had to shoot it with 2 AP rounds.
Dude thanks for this. I’ve been throwing so many explosives at it and it just takes them. Four shots and that’s it?? So much time saved
You're welcome. Glad this video helped you.
Nice! I have also had good luck with the winchester with heavy round and AP. Takes 2 shots.
Cool. I haven't really used that weapon much. Thanks for letting me know.

Nicely done, new players will definitely benefit from this. 😀
Thank you. I've seen new players struggle taking out tanks so hopefully this video can help them.
@@DazActionI run across quite a bit of new players while playing invasions. There is definitely a need for guides like these.
Thanks for letting me know. Multiplayer and invasions are dead in Australia unfortunately.

Dont you have to attach c4 to the rear of the tank before you can shoot it????
You can use Armour Piercing ammunition to expose the engine, and to also blow it up.
Flare gun.
Mind blown. Is there an HP requirement for your sniper rifle in order to penetrate the engine armor? Or is it just the AP round itself that does the trick?
The AP around will do the trick, but how many shots it requires depends on the power of the weapon.
Excellent video, thanks for sharing
Glad you enjoyed it
I was surprised that the TNT blocks were not that effective even against armored cars

AI need to be opened in this game to be more dynamic and to be more player creative objects mode

Awesome content!
Thank you. Appreciate it.
Awesome guide friend! 👍
Thank you very much.
I use a mine panzer rifle to destroy the tank
Now we can't blown up a truck by hitting it's gas tank like SE4?
I believe it is no longer possible to destroy a truck by hitting the gas (fuel) tank. Either destroy the engine, or explosive cargo if it has any.
Which mission is this?
This is from one of the DLC maps, Rough Landing.
Sniper elite 4 survivor is better than se5
Poor panther 1 tank
It’s a Tiger 2H
